This is one of several return visits to the Anchor. The business has grown to 50+ units. They are all clean and nice. We always stay here when we come to Geneva on the lake. I would strongly recommend.

We were attracted to the Anchor motel by the reasonable rates and the advertised "exceptional cleanliness". While not quite as clean as we'd hoped (cobwebs from the ceiling, a musty smell), our room was serviceable and the bed was comfortable. Conveniently located, we enjoyed the walk to the strip, and walking in the park along the lake. While somewhat dated,...

Anchor Motel and Cottages proved to be a good place to sit outside and enjoy a sunset or watch the grass grow. The room was very clean and the staff was very efficient and friendly. Our room was across from the grassy area with the picnic tables and every room has two chairs outside the door. It is close to...

We have been staying at the Anchor Motel for 4 years now, every summer on our way West, to Sturgis Sd for the Motorcycle rally. From our first visit the owners and staff made us feel comfortable and wanted , More like company than a customer so that is why we keep coming back . This year after riding in...

I really wanted to give this place a better rating because the employees make you feel at home right away, but.. CONS: walls are paper thin, furniture is mismatched and 20 years out of date(which some may find "charming"), a $5 mirror hung on a door would be a great investment, the only ice machine was empty for 2 days....

We stayed here while fishing with Privateer Sport Fishing Charters. Older cottages, but have been remodeled. Cottage was clean upon our arrival. Towels are not provided, but we're given one upon request. Met the owner when we were checking out, who was pleasant and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Would stay here again.

We stayed in one of the cottages for a long weekend with our 12 year old daughter. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! It was very clean and had everything we needed; full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, satellite tv, free wifi, hot shower. Outside of the cottage was just as nice, we had chairs to sit on our...

I stayed there last year at the end of Sept. I did not mind the size of the room. They had a big fridge which was great! Very nice people and very convenient to the strip, etc. The room took me back in time which was quite refreshing. I would stay there again! Bar next door for those who are...

My wife and I stayed over the 2016 July 4th weekend. There's nothing fancy about the Anchor Motel, as indicated by the advertisement of "clean rooms" on their sign. However, they do keep to their word about cleanliness. The rooms are quite small and plain with a rustic feel. The bathrooms are very small with showers that likely couldn't accommodate...

First off, I will admit that this is the only motel I have stayed at in this area. So if it's rated number 2, I am shaking my head at what the lower ranking motels must be like. Who is rating this place??? ???????? Ask to see a room before you hand over your credit card, because once they swipe...
