A one night stay here, in transit to Dharamsala. Stayed in the annexe, which is the slightly more modern part. Nice spacious rooms, comfortable and well looked after. Good beds and nice bathroom. A small drinks party round an open-air fire brazier before dinner - VERY well priced beer & spirits! Excellent meal, freshly cooked, and a great demonstration by...

We loved our stay at Judge's Court .The location is ideal and the surrounding gardens quite beautiful .Our suite in the new area was huge with every comfort provided and a night watchman slept nearby so we felt well cared for ! The fire pit at night is such fun and the original building full of history and memorabilia. Thank...

This is the oldest heritage hotel in India (apparently). The rooms in the main house are quirky and old fashioned. I was in the new annexe - which I preferred. The rooms were comfy and well maintained. The food and service were very good - we had dinner in the open air around a brazier. The buffet food was fresh...

The outside dining & Diwali lights made dinner a magical experience. The property has been beautifully restored, with spacious rooms and lovely communal areas, as well an excellent garden. The service was efficient although lacking in warmth. The reception staff need to be more welcoming & the food could be improved, especially at lunch time.

This place truly means how to make you feel royal. We were here for the Diwali night, and what a nice way it was to celebrate. The hotel had arranged for a special buffet menu, good food. They even had a live bagpiper band performance. A bonfire, beautiful lighting over the whole place. The rooms are huge and with a...

We stayed at this hotel as part of a tour so cannot comment on the room rate. Our room was spacious and a bit spartan. The hotel is in a quiet location and has large grounds. This was an authentic Indian stay rather than the big hotel experience. Food was included, breakfast was basic but adequate, dinner again basic and...

Thank you for your observations. Regarding the 'crows', we are not too far away from one of the best birding areas and 121 varieties of birds have been identified on the property and surroundings!

A really lovely place to stay. Traditional rooms - our room was huge - and interestingly furnished. The evening meal was delicious and served buffet style in the garden. Very quiet location with an interesting to explore within walking distance. The staff could not have been more helpful and all wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

This hotel is stunning and a destination in itself. The building, the public areas, the gardens and our spacious room, Connaught, are all beautiful and the bed and furnishings are very comfortable. The bathroom though is a bit odd as it looks like it was once a storeroom with lots of cupboards but it has everything you need including a...

This hotel could be so good. Architecturally sound and of historical interest, but it is tired. There is a lack of care and attention to bedrooms and they need updating. The good points about this hotel are: • Building is architecturally interesting and attractive when sitting in the garden • The staff are helpful • The food is delicious food...

We are grateful for the review which helps detect shortcomings on which our comments are: 1. The water- pumping system at the Residency is automatic. There has never been an instance of “no water”. A post complaint check of the installation has not shown any malfunction. 2. Toilet flush -mechanical gadgets do sometimes play up. Cause for complaint could arise...

I felt the hotel gave a brief glimpse of what India might have looked like before 1947. The walls in the main area are filled with photos and awards from an earlier time. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I came in September during the end of rainy season which gave me the strange experience of being the only...
