The Alps Resort is celebrated for its warm and professional service, with staff members frequently recognized for their exceptional hospitality. Guests relish the resort's serene atmosphere, underscored by enchanting gardens, soothing live music, and an overall cozy ambiance. The amenities garner positive feedback, particularly the picturesque garden views and an array of dining options, including acclaimed pizza and authentic local dishes.
While the spacious rooms with stunning views are a highlight for many visitors, a handful have mentioned maintenance and cleanliness issues. Nonetheless, the overall value is highly praised, with the quality of food and service singled out. The resort's scenic and central location is considered perfect for those seeking relaxation amidst nature, and cleanliness standards are generally well-regarded, although there's room for improvement noted by some.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed at Alps for four nights and really enjoyed it during 9th to 13th Jan.
At the time of booking I was not exactly aware of the location which is excellent. It is about 2 km uphill from Gandhi Chowk which made our first experience of snow all the more special. Bright sun and fresh white snow was a sight to behold and we enjoyed the walk down from the hotel taking in the wonderful sights and sounds.
Initially there was some confusion during check-in and we were allocated a different room and we had to change it,
that was a small hiccup though as the staff is extremely polite and helpful.
We enjoyed the breakfast at the restaurant and cosy dinner in our room.
All the dishes were cooked well and tasted fine
. A special mention about idli sambhar in breakfast, tasted yummy and so authentic. Mr Vicky (hope I'm getting the name right) and Mr. Pawan were great with the food service.
There were a few power cuts during our stay but I was informed that this was only during the snowfall. At the same time they ensured that there was backup during nights to keep the heaters running.
Overall, a fine place to stay, definitely recommended.
P.S. one thing we didn't enjoy was the tea, the ginger tea was missing the ginger and tasted rather flat. We like our tea good and strong.

We stayed for 4 days, let me pen down what went well and whats not:
The Good
Gorgeous hotel in terms of look and feel, garden us lush green with beautiful flowers and to be noted well maintained. If you are accompanied by kids or your spouse they are definitely going to enjoy having their own space. Swings, Tree house, Cafe and what not. Stella (The Cafe) also offers good options if you are pizza lover. Our recommendation for Stella would be their Lemon Cheese Cake and Garlic bread with coffee.
Staff had been courteous, well behaved, polite and always eager to help you out. Ravi from management had always came forward for all small needs we asked for and delivered.
Food within hotel is lip smacking, delicious and well served. We took breakfast included which was buffet and the best part of it was quality as well options were plenty, you can take anything from desi puri sabji to veg sandwiches and omlette.. If you dine out then also the portions were more than enough for 2 person and not too expensive. You must try their in house gulabjamun.
Rooms were clean though a bit rusty but were fine, 24hour service was pin point and even laundry was good. It rained whole night a day before we were to checkout but for our surprise the cleaning staff was active to make sure there are no hassles for guests.
Parking is spacious, if your have taken a driver their breakfast is also included and will not be charged but they have a separate breakfast menu not the buffet one which you have taken for your stay. Our driver complimented hotel for their food and services as well. Hotel provides them separate bathroom but there are no rooms for driver so they would need to sleep in car, we took car inflatable bed so that proved comfy enough for our driver. Hotel also provide drivers with blanket and bedsheets if they want.
The Bad
We found nothing to complain or anything which me or my family think we can point out.
Note
It's approx 2km away from Mall road and main shopping hub so if you are not accompanied by small kids you can manage to park you car in hotel parking and walk. On the way you can get a view to Beeji park as well where you can click few memories and walk past to your destination.

A place with great service and food. They were able to provide choices in rooms and meals that would fit our needs - budget in this case.
Of course, helpful and friendly staff. Coney environment and surroundings. (My friend enjoyed their shower very much after travelling around India in the past two weeks or so)
We had a great breakfast, which was included, just before departure. Recommend to friends and family.

The stay was good and peaceful. The location of the hotel is also great for visiting nearby places. Co-operative staff especially, Ravi Kumar at reception and Gopal did a good job. They also provided taxi services for us and the driver anoop was really good. Food was also freshly made and served.

Stayed with family in January 2023
This property is about 4 Km uphill from the Dalhousie busstand on the Khajjiar road.
One thing to be noted is that because of the location, only 4×4 vehicles are able to reach here when it snows. We had to park our car at the bus stand and shell out ₹ 4000 to rent a 4x4 gypsy for to and fro travel from the bus stand.
But after this initial hiccup it was a wonderful experience. We were greeted with a warm lemon tea on arrival and the hotel manager Mr. Dheeraj was kind enough to upgrade our rooms to a suite and a room with a garden view. The rooms were neat and clean, the snacks dinner and the breakfast were delicious. The staff was courteous, especially Lalit who always had a smile on his face while serving us the delectable food.
Overall a very positive experience. Though a little difficult to reach in snow, it offers splendid views to compensate.

Bathroom stinks, door knob broken, towels are dirty, food is ok with very limited options. Hot water rarely came in the bathroom and never during mornings. Breakfast is only available via order. There is nothing great about this hotel, it's an average property. But yes the guys working on hotel are hardworking and always willing to help.

I think snow won't be a problem during 1st week on March. But you have to check near your dates because this year Himachal Pradesh received Snowfall in July starting instead of July end which is a month earlier.
Hello Win07, Greetings from Alps Resort Dalhousie.
# Dainkund, Khajjiar, Boating point, Kalatop
#Depends on dates and room availability
# You can see snow at few points en route Khajjiar

It takes about 10 to 15 min from the hotel to the bus stand in a car. Hotel has lunch and Dinner in the hotel. I don't think it's expensive and depends on what you eat. Normally should be around 400 to 500 Rupees per person. Hotel has cab facility with full day or drop and pick to Gandhi chowk and bus stand. You could contact hotel directly for rates but we hired from other outside source and a Dezire for full day with Khajjar via Chamba costed us around Rs. 2500.
The stairs are there to climb... still contact staff if they provide help to you to climb up!! Otherwise view from upside is amazing!
