My daughter and I spent the better part of a week at the Rogan House in Gambier. We were there to walk the Kokosing Valley Trail. The bed & breakfast is within walking distance of the trail, Kenyon College, the Village Inn, the campus bookstore and only a 15 minute drive from Mount Vernon, Oh. We had a great time.
Because of COVID-19 restrictions, our hosts were not able to make breakfast for us, but they left us plenty of fruits and breakfast snacks & drinks. And various single service coffee choices!
The artwork on display is beautiful and available for sale. The Kokosing Suite has two bedrooms and is in a secluded section of the house. We really enjoyed it and had a great time!

The innkeepers worked really hard to create a clean and safe environment. The location was within walking distance of Kenyon College. We stayed in the Kokosing suite - two parents and a high school senior. The area was very private from the rest of the house. The sheets and towels smelled wonderfully and the beds were very comfortable. I did not see shampoo and conditioner available, so best to bring your own or request it from the innkeepers. The innkeepers left out a lot of breakfast type foods, fruit, and a baked item. There was tea, orange juice, and coffee. I can not wait to return to this house when they are offering a full breakfast again! The innkeepers kept in touch via text and the location is quiet and nice.

Gorgeous historic house beautifully renovated. Situated just 1/2 mile from Gambier and Kenyon College. Lovely sitting room, office, and dining room. A continental breakfast was provided. My room was comfortable and quiet, and I opened the screened-in windows to enjoy the fall air. The bedroom and bathroom have all amenities needed . The hosts are communicative with clear directions for an easy check-in, which for me went smoothly after hours.

My family and I loved staying at the Rogan House for the 2024 Kenyon Graduation weekend. The B&B has tasteful and comfy furnishings and decor. We rented 3 beautiful, clean rooms, each with their own private baths. And we were spoiled by Jamie, the proprietor. She stocked the place with everything anyone would need and was very responsive to our questions. Being able to walk ~5 mins onto the Kenyon campus gave our family the flexibility to have our own schedules and avoid having to coordinate a time to all be in the car. We felt so lucky to have stayed there during graduation. I highly recommend!

We frequent the Gambier area because we have students at Kenyon. It’s tricky to find a place in the village, so we usually just stay in Mount Vernon, which we enjoy. However, we planned head for a night at the Rogan House, and we absolutely loved it.
Jamie is responsive and clear and had a self check in plan to us the day of our stay. This was perfect as our schedule
was pretty packed and we appreciated the flexibility on timing.
While sit down breakfast was not part of the stay, we fully availed ourselves of the ample snacks and baked goods, coffee and fruit that was tastefully presented and suited our timeline (and hunger!)
Our room was just right- comfortable and quiet. We loved playing cards in the living room at the end of our day- admiring the excellent library and high ceilings of the common space.
Location is excellent- especially if your student lives at the farther end of campus, as most of the first years and seniors do.

I thought this was a bed and breakfast. I looked at booking .com and there were pics of a gourmet breakfast which is why I chose this location. I was hoping to leave my family with a good impression of Ohio as they had never been here. Unfortunately, after I paid ,I received a text about the “Continental breakfast “ in the fridge and help yourself coffee and snacks. They also had to get the key form a box and let themselves in. So different from the many b&b places we’ve stayed. Sorry , but the breakfast is a big part of the experience . I added pics

Sorry to have disappointed you but everything you are complaining about was explained to you over the phone before you made this reservation. I would also like to point out that you are a neighbor that lives two doors down and you did not personally stay at the Rogan House. When I take a last minute reservation I make sure to fully explain the experience to that guest. Besides your disappointment in the breakfast I'm sure your friends (who did stay the night here) found the Rogan House to be beautiful, clean, and comfortable at a fraction of the price of the grand.

Clean, cozy and an incredibly comfortable stay, The Rogan House was the perfect experience. Not only was the host kind and welcoming, but the house itself was full of historic charm, mixed with modern amenities. Full of natural light, the house itself is inviting and beautiful.
Although I was staying for business, my nights at The Rogan House felt like a comfy vacation. Thank you for running such a clean and beautiful B&B! Will absolutely stay here again, and again!

We loved our weekend at the Rogan House. It’s charming and the hosts are wonderful. Lovely fresh baked goods for breakfast! Our suite was perfect for our family with a private bath. The living area is great as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I've stayed here two times and will continue to book for our visits to Kenyon College! The location can't be beat, close to campus but not on it. The hostess is exceptional, just a text away! I've stayed in 2 different rooms and both are equally comfy. The chocolate chip cookies and lemon poppyseed scones are awesome. Highly recommend!
