The wilds are very nice for a day or two if you go on a weekday. The menu could be larger and more choices. The compt dinner and breakfast were just ok. The accommodations were just ok too. I didn't think the utes were all that special. However the rarity of the animal that you get to see kind of... More

We just had our family reunion at the Lodge at the Wilds. It was awesome!!! Getting to the lodge was an adventure in itself. We had to take some backroads to get to it. There was some concern of how we would locate the lodge, but a Wilds staff person led our caravan of cars to the Lodge which was... More

My mother and I stayed in the Grand Yurt on Nomad Ridge at The Wilds to celebrate a milestone birthday. THE YURT - Quiet, luxurious and comfortable. This yurt has a large observation deck with 2 adirondack chairs and a very nice hammock. As you enter the yurt through glass french doors you will see a king bed in the... More

We used the Lodge for a 3-day sales training retreat for 9 people -- and we could not possibly have been happier. The staff escorted our group members to the lodge, which is an adventure in itself. We brought in food for 3 dinners, 3 lunches, 3 breakfasts and snacks all day -- and there was PLENTY of space in... More

It was lovely but you must remember it's still camping. Glamour camping is nice. They have AC, heat, and windows. Bring your own drinks because there really isn't much for you to buy or snack on. However, it was lovely. Just remember no kids allowed.

The Wilds is a 10,000 acre animal sanctuary populated by endangered or extinct-in-the-wild animals, mostly grazers. There are many ways to experience it but I took the open-bus safari then stayed overnight at Nomad Ridge in a yurt - a circular tent that was one of the most unforgettable lodgings I have ever had in my travels. The food was... More

My husband and I stayed in one of the Premium Yurts on a Monday night. Check in was easy and the grounds are well maintained. The yurts are a short walk from the cafe/gift shop, and there is an area for Nomad Ridge guests to gather in the evening and overlook the reserve and watch the animals. There is also... More

This review was rated as average solely based on value for the money. The Wilds itself was terrific, well maintained. They feed the animals which appear to stay by the main roads. And the animals seemed pretty tame to be in the "wild". You are guaranteed a close up of many of the animals. However, at $300+ per night was... More

My wife and I spent the weekend in a yurt, 2 nights, and had a great time. A night includes breakfast and dinner and a complimentary bus safari for each day. We opted to take a Wild Side tour in addition (in the back of a pickup truck) and that is highly recommended as well. The food is very good,... More

We had a wonderful stay at The Wilds Nomad Ridge in the Grad Yurt! This was a fun overnight stay for our anniversary, the overnight stay included a safari transport tour which was very informative, a little rainy on our day but the animals did not mind. It was so nice to see these animals in this innovative wildlife conservation... More
