I checked in and was assigned a room. I opened the door and it didn't even have sheets on the bed. I went back to the front desk and the desk clerk assigned me another room. He went to check it out first and came back and said it was clean. After I settled in I opened the microwave to use it. The microwave was filthy and smelled. I went back to the desk and said I would be using the microwave in the breakfast area, which the clerk had to clean first. My room had not been vacuumed. The room was tiny. At checkout I complained and asked about a discount or no charge. The morning desk clerk apologized and said that they had assigned me a different room since I was a Gold club member. She did not know why the evening employee assigned me the bad rooms. The desk clerk did credit me with a few reward points. I will never stay at this hotel again.

This is an older property; the rooms feel like time traveling back to the 70's. But Choice Hotels has done their best to maintain everything well and make it an above average Quality Inn & Suites. We'll certainly return. The staff is friendly and accommodating, a wonderful breakfast buffet, clean rooms, quiet surroundings, competitive rates, easy access to I-71, I-270 and Highway 315, plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby and a nice stopping point for our quarterly trips from Upstate New York to Nashville, Tennessee. Now a caveat: Do not reserve a One Queen Bed room. The bed felt more like a double, it was a mile off of the floor and the room itself was puny. It would have been a splendid master bedroom for a typical suburban home; but was too tiny to be a comfortable hotel room. The long shelf above the heater/air conditioner was great for suitcases; but the mini desk near the microwave oven and fridge is too tall for a practical use while seated. Don't fiddle with the baseboard heater in the bathroom or you'll burn the door bottom; the heat lamp built into the exhaust fan is on a timer and does quite well. The bathroom is also on the small side; but has a cool antique marble vanity with wooden accents. My kingdom for a full length mirror. Management upgraded us to a King Suite room for our return trip and that solved the spaciousness issue; but still no full length mirror. Watch out for the second floor if you need to use a luggage cart; this property has no elevators. High St./US 23 is tricky near Dimension Dr. From the south, you can turn right and Vantage Dr. is an easy find. But you can only turn right and head north if you return to that intersection; because the US 23 express lanes are in the mix. From the north, forget about taking a left onto Dimension Dr.; turn left at the E. Campus View Blvd. intersection instead and Vantage Dr. is the first right. This tip holds true for heading south back to Columbus as well and will save you an illegal U-turn. Free popcorn, USA Today, a nice exercise room, good neighborhood and their staff which aims to please top the sundae.

Checked in 12/11/19 after 7:00 and from that time on the tv was loudly playing and at 9:15 asked for her to turn it down cuz I could hear it over my tv in my room. She said she was sorry and would. At 10:58 with the tv still playing loud and friends in the breakfast area, I asked again and she said, SHE is entitled to have her friends there and I was rude for asking her and NOT to disrespect her. So for close to 4 hours sitting in the breakfast area, watching TV and having friends laugh, and yell is part of her job, it must be a cushy job. She then pointed her arm and said get out of here, I can have you thrown out for being RUDE. I said refund my money and I will leave. SO Quality Inn you lost two nights stay from me and I will NEVER be back. I did talk to the manager the next morning and am waiting for an outcome and clarity as to how this is part of there training and protocol in customer service. Dr. Mike Columbus OHIO

Greeted by Manny, very helpful host. Hailee afternoon shift host. She took picture of wife and self at fountain out front. Precious, housekeeping, to tissues to our room while off duty. The rooms are a little smaller than most hotel rooms and does not appear to have elevator. No luggage carts either. We will stay here when in Columbus north side. Off main road but not hard to find.

We were having difficulty finding a dog friendly place to stay while passing through Columbus! One of the Paw Resort sites recommended this hotel. Our room was comfortable and clean. The front staff was friendly and helpful. Unless you like fast food, no close by restaurants! Ended up going over to High Street near OSU campus. Free breakfast was ok! Could have been better! Everything done in microwave!
