We discovered this treasure in the iconic LeVeque tower in downtown Columbus. The hotel is simply excellent. Beautiful rooms, well appointed. Friendly, competent service.

The Keep, which is the hotel’s bar and restaurant, is excellent. The cuisine is contemporary French, with modern riffs on classics, like duck confit and moules mariniere with Pernod and coconut milk, a delicious take. There are real gas lamps which give a warm 20’s prohibition atmosphere to the bar. Leather chairs, nooks for intimate conversations, genuine friendly Midwestern service.

The hotel remains faithful to the building’s art moderne architecture and astronomical theme, even with globes that project the starry heavens on the hotel rooms’ ceiling, like sleeping under the stars.

Check out the best hotel in Columbus.

As we traveled east to visit family, we decided to spend a night in Columbus Ohio, so I searched for a unique hotel instead of the regular chain selection and I came across this lovely hotel. We arrived after 6 p.m. and the young man at valet greeted us warmly as he helped us retrieve our luggage and then parked our car. I was immediately impressed at the entrance of this beautiful Art Deco building. Clare, at the front desk, greeted us warmly and also made us feel welcome as she made our checkin a breeze. We asked about dinner and she told us how to get to the bar and restaurant on the mezzaine level. After taking our things to the room and freshening up a bit, we went to the bar, where Kevin immediately asked if he could help us find a place to sit, provided us with cocktail menus and waited while we made our selections. He found us two very comfy chairs in the lounge area of the Keep Kitchen and Liquor Bar. Kevin later asked if we wanted dinner, and when we said yes, he made sure to let the staff at the restaurant know to expect us in a short while. Kevin took very good care of us. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant and appreciated the excellent service there, as well.
Then we made our way back to the beautiful room and enjoyed a relaxing evening in the well appointed room before falling asleep. Although we could only stay one night, it was well worth the easy drive off the interstate. They even have a Starbucks in the lobby so we grabbed coffee and pastry for breakfast and hit the road again. The restuaurant isn't open at this time, due to staffing issues. I am sure to stay here again, if ever the opportunity arises. It was well worth the stop and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Columbus.

What a wonderful stay! The staff are lovely, and the rooms are spacious and modern. I geeked out with the constellation projector in the room. Even with covid restrictions, the hotel really did a fantastic job accommodating guest. We were greeted by staff each time we walked back to out room and asked if we needed anything. The breakfast at the hotel restaurant was tasty. Savory and well cooked breakfast potatoes, and of course, great service. Hats off to Linette who ensured that we had an excellent stay. Tips: street parking is free after 10 PM and on Sundays. The overnight parking fee at the adjacent parking lot says $25 for overnight but it was $45. It is just work doing valley vs the adjacent 3rd party parking lot. Even better, pay $1 and hour for street parking (up to 3 hours) and time it with free overnight parking.

Hello Globetrottingwaves Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. I will be sure to recognize Linette for her outstanding service. We agree, self-parking in the garage is tricky. If you don't leave by 9:00 am they charge you another day. hence going from 25.00 to 45.00. We look forward to seeing you again when your travels bring you back to Columbus.

If you want to have an amazing stay at a beautiful hotel with exceptional service you need to say at the LeVeque! This historical hotel is not only beautiful, breathtaking and finely appointed but the concierge service goes above and beyond. The senior concierge, Kwasi, quickly befriended us and provided a literal book regarding the history of the hotel. Being an architectural fanatic I quizzed him on the history and style of the hotel. Kwasi was a wealth of knowledge regarding not only the hotel but of the residents, office spaces and available penthouse =). He directed us to the best restaurants and bars for a fun evening out. We asked him to take a quick photo of us and he literally took a photo shoot of us around the hotel lobby and surrounding areas. There are so many beautiful architectural pieces in the lobby it was hard to not have a picture near all of them. After a delicious dinner at Due Amici we had a late night cocktail in the LeVeque bar. The service there was as personal and perfect as the concierge service. We returned to our room for the night and was greeted and treated to a bottle of champagne and a starry ceiling. Breakfast was enjoyed at Keep within the hotel. It did not disappoint either. If you are looking for that special boutique hotel full of character, charm and outstanding service, LeVeque is your one and only destination in downtown Columbus. Ask for Kwasi and you will not be disappointed!

We recently went on a week-long road trip; Columbus was the center point going both ways. We researched a number of Columbus hotels and picked Hotel LeVeque. I called in advance and was best satisfied with the Marriott procedures.

The hotel is not new, but seems to be well maintained. The hotel occupies the front corner of a much larger building. Much of that space appears to be vacant. The parking garage is at the other end of the building; there’s a walkway across the alley between the hotel building and the garage.

We also ate dinner both nights in the hotel’s restaurant and grabbed coffees and muffins from the Starbucks for breakfast after each stay. Both the restaurant and the SB are in the hotel corner of the building.

Easy to find. We would stay there again.

My husband and I stay at LeVeque for two nights and we loved it. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were greeted by Nick at the front desk. He told us about the history of the hotel/building and what to see in the hotel. Thank you, Nick! We had a great time at LeVegue!

LeVeque Tower/building is rich in history and an icon of the city. Our room has a rainfall shower and is tastefully decorated. The hotel location is central with walking distance to the beautiful river walk.

Parking options include valet for $45 (?) and self-park in the same garage where hotel valet parking uses for $20/day without in/out. Right outside of the hotel, there are many street meter parking spaces, which take credit card or coins. The are $1/hour until 8 pm. After 8 pm, they are free. Parking at the street meters are free on Sundays.

One strange item in our hotel room is a device looking like a security camera (see photos).

Overall, LeVeque is a wonderful place to stay. I highly recommend it.

Hello bwang20874 So glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. We will be sure to recognize Nick for his outstanding service at the front desk. Unfortunately, we are not affiliated with the parking garage that is connected to our building. Our valet is 35.00 per night with in and out privileges and self-parking is advertised at 20.00 per day with no in and out but if you don't check out by 9:00 am they will charge you 45.00. Rest assured the device in your room is not a security camera, it is a sensor that is connected to your HVAC unit and it detects if someone is in the room or not. If a guest is not in the room it adjusts the temperature in the guest room to be more energy efficient. Thank you for your positive feedback and we look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Located in Downtown riverfront. Walking distance to ohio capitol and columbus city hall. Upgrade to a suite due to my marriott membership which was equipped with two bathroom one of which has three massage show heads. The hotel is a classical style with modern facility. Marriott platinum and above can choose 1000 points/10 food credits and an additional 750 points in lieu of the lack of concierge lounge. Parking is $35 per night. Street parking is free on Sundays and holidays. Each level has microwave and ice maker.

Here in Columbus for a New Year's Eve wedding. Quite a beautiful hotel in a historic building. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. As a Marriott Titanium member, I received $24 per day for a breakfast voucher, which more or less covers a nice breakfast at the restaurant--the Keep. The Keep was fantastic: good food, friendly staff, etc . . . I'd stay here again next time I need to be downtown Columbus.

The Hotel LeVeque shares an entrance with the LeVeque Tower Apartments. When you enter the “lobby”, Starbucks is located on your left and the hotel lobby is to your right, up the stairs/ramp. The hotel is conveniently located near the main bus stops that took us to the North Market, German Village or Franklin Park and Botanical Gardens.

Room – We had a King Bed with a river view on a high floor. The room was spacious and clean. However, the coolest feature in the room was the Star and Galaxy Projector tucked away on one of the side tables next to the bed. It was a cool novelty – it gives a whole new meaning to sleeping under the stars.

Front Desk – Very efficient check-in and check out process. Excellent service all around. Wanted to call out Leanna whom we saw most evenings. Leanna went above and beyond. She was front desk, concierge and helpdesk. Thank You Leanna, you provided fantastic service with a smile.

Breakfast – Breakfast for elite members was a $15 voucher per person at The Keep Kitchen. The variety was good although I would recommend getting your coffee fix at the Starbucks in the lobby instead of at the restaurant.

I took my wife to this hotel for her birthday; it was supposed to be an elegant and fancy night of celebration. While the lobby was truly beautiful, the room was small and exceptionally average. Our “amenity” was a cheap constellation nightlight on the bedside table (“sleep under the stars with us” the front desk person had told us) whose light didn’t reach the ceiling. Our room overlooked an alley and a bus stop.
I had booked the dinner and room package but when we went down to the restaurant found it was closed that night; seems like that could’ve been mentioned during check-in. Instead we went to the bar and waited twenty minutes for two undrinkable manhattans (because the harried bartender couldn’t make the drinks from the seasonal menu my wife ordered).
When we asked the receptionist if there was somewhere we could go up and see the lights I was curtly told “This building doesn’t have an observation deck.” Oh well.
Look, the hotel wasn’t awful. It wasn’t dirty or cold or stinky. If this was a Holiday Inn Express I would’ve happily given it five stars. But considering what we paid for a bedroom we could’ve gotten absolutely anywhere. I am thoroughly disappointed.
