We were in the area for a family wedding at Timeless Charm Weddings. After some googling we realized the location was a little rural, and Hueston Woods was our closest option by far. We got a great rate with our AAA discount and had a great time. The decor is a little dated, but we enjoyed the kitchy retro feel...

The staff is wonderful...the rooms are ok...the common areas and indoor pool are pretty crowded during the evening...They do have an outdoor pool and hot tub which are seasonal ,so was not open during our visit..We stayed here using a 2 for one sale..not sure I would pay full price...The dining rm was small...they had most of it closed off...the...

I don't have much to add to the other reviews except for a few things. Those who find the facility dated: yes it's old, but it's a state park lodge. If you want modern luxury stay at a newer big city hotel. The rooms were renovated a few years ago and they are fine. Ours was a two queen room...

On our way to Dayton to visit Air Force Museum, jogged a little south to visit our first Ohio State Park Inn. The lodge is celebrating it's 50th birthday this year. Plantings were freshly mulched and many annual baskets were already planted. Inn room, with balcony, was on 3rd floor overlooking lake. Room featured microwave and bar fridge. Extra sink...

The lodge rooms are nicely appointed and very clean. However, we felt the lack of customer service / friendliness and organization was a downfall. I would stay here again, however remember that this is a state employment run operation.

My young son and I stayed in one of the lakeside "couples" cabins over Spring Break. The weekday deal (or "stays for A's) is a great bargain. The cabin was very clean and we had everything we needed to fix small meals or cook out. There is a fire ring but you will need to bring your own firewood and...

First of all, the view and setting are beautiful. We sat out by the lake at night and just talked and relaxed-gorgeous view and very family friendly. But this is what you are paying for...everything else seemed tired and dark and overpriced ($180). We had a room that overlooked the parking lot but don't know if I would spring for...

I took the 3 grandchildren on their spring vacation to take advantage of the lodge's family vacation package for a one night stay. We were brightly greeted by staff who upgraded our room to lakeview without extra charge, and got the room we wanted near the pool. The package included a pizza, tokens for the game room, unlimited swimming, and...

Recently we drove from Chicago for a college visit at Miami (Ohio). It was recommended to stay here, due to the proximity of the college. I definitely see the appeal by visiting here. So much to do, archery, golf, hiking, swimming, horse back riding, etc. A-frame lodge, nestled by a gorgeous lake. The charm of the north woods. But..someone forgot...

Thank you for choosing the Hueston Woods State Park Lodge on your recent visit. I understand and agree with your assessment of the lodge, but we are a State owned facility and unfortunately are restricted by the constraints of the State budget. While we have made progress in other areas of the lodge, other renovations are being completed as State...

We wanted to get away for a night over spring break and were checking into options that weren't too far from home. Was considering Hueston Woods and originally tried to reserve 2 rooms online but called the lodge when I wasn't having success. Glad I did because I found out about a Sunday/Monday night special in April where we got...

Thank you so much for the great review! We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay and took advantage of our many spring break specials. With 3600 acres to enjoy, there are plenty of activities within the park to fill the day. Hopefully you had a chance to see one of our resident eagles. Thanks again for visiting and hope...
