We stayed one night on a Thursday. The hotel staff was very professional. The property was very clean and comfortable. The on-site food is a bit limited right now (climbing out of the pandemic and staffing shortages I imagine), but there are plenty of options close by. Breakfast was just coffee, juice, fruit, yogurt and bagels. This is a great location close to the football stadium, Rock Hall of Fame and a short walk to several restaurants and bars. The only frustration was being there for the NFL draft and they didn't seem to be tuned in to that. It took several people at the bar asking for them to turn the TVs up when the draft started, and they had trouble figuring out how to turn down the music and and turn up the TVs. I would stay there again.

I made a reservation and then my husband became ill and was notified of COVID exposure. I called six times to the Front Desk manager and General Manager. I received one email from the assistant front desk manager. I was trying to be polite and courteous to explore what solution we may be able to reach. I understand I can cancel and still pay the full rate but it seems unreasonable and poor customer service. When I finally received a call back from the general manager he was rather rude telling me that when I booked, I booked with no option to cancel. He further told me that due to the COVID exposure that we could not use the room. (He failed to explore any other information such as the fact that we are fully vaccinated and the CDC, state and local health orders state that fully vaccinated individuals do not have to quarantine after exposure so *I* COULD use the room) and he told me that if I arrive for check-in that authorities would be called.

I stayed at the Westin for one night with my dog and had a bit of a mixed experience. The staff here absolutely made my stay. They were five-star quality from the check-in staff to the valet and even the security guard who let me into my room when my key stopped working. Questions were answered promptly through the Marriott app, and check-in and check-out were both super smooth. I also really appreciated the pet policy: dogs up to 75 lbs are welcome. Unfortunately, I had a couple issues come up during my stay. The first was that cleanliness was a bit lacking. My dog found another dog's kibble on the ground in our room, and I wrote it off at first. But when I hopped in the shower, I noticed a used, wet washcloth with hair on it hanging over the shower curtain rod. It was white, as was the shower curtain, so I understand how it might have been missed by cleaning staff. But it was still a major yuck moment -- especially during COVID. And it all just had me questioning what else wasn't cleaned from the previous guests -- not a great feeling. The other issue was noise during the middle of the night. I understand that cheaper rates might be attracting a different type of hotel guest, but there was yelling, door slamming, and running in the hallways until late at night and it even woke me up around 2 AM. Hotel security was quick to send someone up when I reached out, but it was definitely a bummer to not get a good night's sleep. The next morning, another guest abruptly tried to grab my bag of take-out food (mistaking me for a delivery driver?), and there were police in the lobby. Not knowing the area, I just started to feel a little unsafe. The hotel staff apologized for the noise at check-out, which I really appreciated. And again, the service was levels above many hotels I've stayed at. But I don't know if I'd necessarily stay here again if I ever find myself back in Cleveland.

Good Evening xoxokate - Thank you for taking the time to provide your candid thoughts on your time with us here at the Westin Cleveland. It is honestly appreciated and one of the best ways that we can improve both the level and type of service we are providing to our guests. It is severely disappointing to hear that overall we fell short of your expectations during your experience, that is not what I would have hoped for you or expected from the Westin Team. We will be following up with our Security and Housekeeping teams to address your concerns so that they can be opportunities to learn, not just for the associates involved, but for the hotel as a whole. Your frustrations with the incidents that occurred are understandable and I apologize that your stay did not live up to your standards or to ours. I hope that we are afforded the opportunity to host you again in the future so that we can get it right. Be Well, The Westin Team

The beds were so soft that they felt like they were caving in. I spoke with others in the hotel and they agreed with me that the beds were bad. Waking up in major back pain was no fun. I will look elsewhere to stay
