Let start off by the excellent customer service and professionalism of the front desk staff. I was there to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary and the hotel staff made it not only personal but went out of their way to make me and my wife feel like royalty. The room are clean, spacious, quiet and a fantastic view of the lake. The food is phenomenal, the valets are very accommodating and friendly. Overall the staff their really cared and took care of us. I would recommend this hotel to everyone for business, leisure or a getaway. Job well done by the whole staff.

Unless... it’s about their service and amenities. In short: - Service is mediocre - Noise of the room AC is horrendous - You get all the messages from Marriott regarding COVID and how well they handle it, and the hotel itself sends it too, but... + found a used wrapper/trash under the bathroom sink, i.e., they don’t take the cleaning part too seriously (shouldn’t even happen without COVID) + don’t use your own wipes to clean the basics, you’ll most likely want to move to a different hotel + no mask enforcement. Groups of 4-6 people without masks in the foyers, using elevators, even accompanied by staff, and no one says anything At the same time: + your room is empty, stripped off of all amenities + room service is delivered in plastic boxes with plastic silverware (which is generally fine, but not for that price point) Overall: Go somewhere else. P.S. We always give hotels the chance to react before we write a one star review. In this case the response, for what we think are concerning items during these times (trash from visitor before us, no mask enforcement, filthy wipes after wiping off the faucet and nightstands), was a standard copy and paste message. Not satisfying at all and shows us that these concerns simply aren’t being taken seriously. So if you think that COVID is real, this is not the place to stay, you’ll feel very uncomfortable.

Overall, this is a very nice hotel. The rooms here are probably the nicest of any of the downtown Cleveland hotels that I have stayed at. The location isn't as good as the hotels closer to Euclid/E 9th, but it is still an easy walk to most attractions and is near the Warehouse District. The hotel seems a little short staffed due to the COVID cuts, but everything was still very pleasant.

Stay Report 8/21-22 Location: The hotel is really well located if you're going to be in Downtown Cleveland.  It's attached to Tower City Center which means you can get to the RTA to the airport if you want (a 25 minute ride and a great deal at $2.50) or you can walk to the Indians and Cavs arenas really easily along with a bunch of restaurants and breweries and even the downtown casino.   Hotel: The hotel has that weird urban layout where the valet level is on 1 (along with an entrance directly to Tower City) and you ride a single elevator to the 6th floor hotel lobby where you have to cross over to other elevators to the room levels.  This does mean you need a key card to access the room floors which is always a good thing.  The 7th floor has a fitness center (currently closed) and the 6th floor lobby level has a bar and restaurant which are currently open but with restricted hours. Check In: The agent who checked me in was extremely friendly and helpful.  In fact every employee I interacted with at this hotel was extremely friendly.  I was also able to arrange a late check out though no upgrade (the agent looked at least).   Room: A little disappointing.  While it was nice it didn't really feel like luxury nice, more like your average Westin nice with a tiny bathroom to boot.  Also due to Corona there is no mini bar, bath soap, bath robe, in room coffeemaker (though you can ask that to be brought up) or throw pillows.  On the plus sides the internet worked very well, the bed was comfortable and there were outlets next to it. Dining: Due to state mandates the bar cannot serve past 10 PM.  There is a limited breakfast and lunch and dinner menu and you can get it as room service.  Do note that the room service is served in single use containers.  The food was expensive as you expect but actually very good. So overall a mixed bag.  Service is impeccable as is location.  I think some of the Corona cuts have gone too far especially as the hotel is still charging $350 before tax a night.
