Service was awful. Rooms were not worth the value. Cannot believe this is a 4 star hotel…only positive about this hotel is the high ceilings. Valet lost the keys. Took over an hour to get the car. The atrium/arcade is a lot of “out of business” suites. Lots of homeless try to go in the arcade area. Not worth it. Look elsewhere.
The brass, the wood, the old world charm together with modern amenities made our stay so enjoyable we look forward to returning again. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the room was spacious. Great restaurants and shopping as well as the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame all within walking distance.
we had an excellent adventure. The Hyatt is a beautiful hotel with incredible historic architecture and close proximity to The Rock n Roll hall of fame baseball and football stadiums. It was also close to JACK Casino, and great restaurants. Downtown Cleveland was a very nice experience
I loved my stay here and would come back, but think I would have had a very frustrating time if I'd been traveling with my young daughter. The rooms look out over the interior of the arcade, which is beautiful! The space hosted a wedding during my stay which was no problem for me as I was in town alone for a conference, but if I'd been traveling with my young daughter it would have been very frustrating to have had loud music playing long after her bed time. I think the fact that the space hosts events with noise impacts to guest rooms, along with what time those events must end by, should have been shared prominently when guests are booking their rooms.
This beautiful hotel provides a unique stay that is close to everything. Within walking distance of all sporting events and most of the museums and playhouse square. Noise does carry in the atrium. We had a wedding going on while we were there and got back to the room around 10:30 so we got to listen to about 30 minutes of their band and they were fantastic. After being couped up and isolated by the pandemic for two years it was nice to see people out celebrating special occasions again and having fun. The front desk staff and valets are very nice- it does get a bit chaotic around check in time while dropping off a car though.
The hotel was in an area that you would not walk in after dark. The hotel is so tired and most of the shops were shuttered. The main restaurant was not open for dinner and on a Saturday night not 1 person in the bar.
This was the second time I stayed here while visiting my hometown. The first time was in the beginning of Covid and everything was closed so I didn't get the full experience. This time, everything was open and there was a wedding going on. It's a very beautiful and professional hotel. The staff from valet to the bellmen and the front desk were all professional and kind. This might be my go-to whenever I visit family.
Great location, comfortable, clean, reasonable rates in a beautiful old historic hotel with all of the modern conveniences. Close to walking to many desirable places. I would stay there again, for sure.
We stayed at here years ago, and were very impressed at the time. However, we were very disappointed in our recent visit. The valet parking people were very rude and unprofessional, and totally did not perform their job up to the 39 dollar price. The bed was uncomfortable and the light in the room is very dim. I had some problems with the internet, but when I called the front desk regarding my problems, they did not try to help.
When my husband and I decided at the last minute to go to Cleveland, I poured over all the reviews on here for various hotels in Cleveland. I wanted to stay near Progressive Field. After reading NUMEROUS reviews, I was so discouraged because it seemed that the majority of hotels had negative reviews. I finally read the reviews for Hyatt Regency and didn't see anything negative so I booked it. I am SOOO glad that I did! This hotel was amazing! From the moment we stepped into the lobby, it was a great experience. The man who checked us in was so nice and welcoming. We asked him for various recommendations and he had great suggestions. I had requested a quiet room and our room was SO quiet that I told my husband I wondered if anyone else was on our floor! This hotel only has valet parking for $39 day but we saw online that there was a parking garage next door so we parked there for $20/day. It is literally 10 steps from the front door of the hotel and has covered parking. Well worth it! There are several restaurants nearby. The area seems very safe and when we walked back from the baseball game, we felt very safe as there were many people out. The hotel is locked down and you have to use your key card to get in after a certain tie. Our room was large and spacious and best of all VERY clean! This was a great choice and if we go back to Cleveland, we will most definitely stay here!!!!!…
