I stay at Marriott brand hotels regularly and was disappointed with my last 2 stays In other locations, one in NOLA and the other in London. This one made up for those two! We went during the All Star Game and I was traveling alone with my son. This was an extremely busy time for them (the hotel was literally at the entrance to Play Ball Park), but my room was ready a little early, there was always a staff member available to answer questions, and valet had my car ready for me before I could even make it downstairs. It was very hot in Cleveland, but the AC kept up just fine (I find that’s not always the case in hotels). My son loved that we had a view on the 24th floor of the football stadium. They have a lovely barber and a restaurant/lounge area on the first floor. It’s walking distance from Progressive Field, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and many great restaurants. If I ever find myself in Cleveland again, I will be staying here!

This is one of the nicest Marriott hotels we have stayed at. It is has been renovated with a beautiful lobby and very nice rooms (ours had a great view of the city and the waterfront). It is in a great location with a short walking distance to the Clevland Library, Progressive Field (baseball) Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse (basketball), FirstEnergy Stadium Football) as well as the The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The one annoyance is the parking. They have valet parking which is expensive. Self park is under the hotel but it is not managed by them. They do not have in and out privileges with self park. We had difficulty getting out both times: the first day the machine at the gate swallowed our credit card and would not let us out. The second day we paid at the machine by the elevator and at the exit it wanted a second payment. Both days took us a long time to get out of the lot while waiting for the attendant to come and let us out (there is a booth but no one is there, you have to call help and wait for an attendant to come).

Do not come up with a complaint if you do the GM will automatically make you into a bigot or a racist. He has no clue about customer service. I live in Cleveland and have stayed at many hotels this one is by far the worst. Not worth the money or the headache. Save yourself sometime and stay at the Hilton next door. They have great restaurants and bars with a view.

Dear TomD8610, The survey you completed in regards to your stay stated: "Had a cleaning lady knock on my door with a do not disturb up and try and come in. In my mind there’s only one thing she’s trying to do and that would be steal stuff." I stand by my email response to you: "Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey about your recent stay with us. The Do Not Disturb sign is in fact intended to provide our guests with privacy and to not knock on the door. For a housekeeper to knock on the door despite the sign is an honest mistake for which I certainly apologize. We need to be better than to oversee this important tool. Housekeepers are honorable people that have a family to support. They have integrity, character and values like all other people that go to work in any other industry. In fact, housekeepers are often extremely well educated people in their home countries but their credentials are not accepted in the US. They are of no lesser value - in fact in a hotel they are of the greatest value because without them we can't exist. To accuse a housekeeper of intent to steel is totally unfounded and uncalled for. It is unfortunate that a judgement like that is passed so quickly."

12+ years bringing my mom to the Cleveland St.Patricks parade. We book an overnight, dinner, breakfast, a Mass, then mini pub crawl, and finally the best parade in the land. In 2019, her 90th year-even tho its our *special time* I gave a shout-out to kids & grandchildren, "You're welcome to join us and here's the link to the hotel..." I'm thinking a couple of them would show up. 20 ppl, 8 rooms later, relatives from across the country decided to join us. I freaked. After a business mtg (we're an hour away) I asked to meet with guest services, and they were fantastic...I needed adjoining rooms to help with *flow*, I needed mom to be able to wake up at her normal 6 am and see the Terminal Tower lit up in green. I needed to make sure a slew of people had access to food...on St. Patrick's Day in Cleveland. That was a lot to ask, but Marriott Key Center, Cleveland, delivered and I have to say, the experience was transformative, and a lifetime memory. The 91 y/o Irish girl, who has lived through the Great Depression, wars, raising 6 children, losing her beloved, and outliving all of her dearest friends...the Marriott Cleveland Key center has managed to provide irreplaceable life moments, and I will be indebted. Forever. Nicely done.

My son and I spent two nights at the Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Center and had a great stay. The hotel is very modern and well appointed. The location is excellent and the rooms have a great view of the lake. A cool shopping/restaurant area downtown is within a short walk of the hotel as is the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame. The bar area in the lobby has a really relaxed feel to it. The M Club Lounge was a welcome relief at the end of the day and a nice place to start with a quiet breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Nothing but good things to say about this Marriott and would definitely stay here again.
