Stayed for an overnight for a getaway with my wife. We stayed in the Roost room. The room was huge and well decorated. We really enjoyed the spacious layout and charm of the room. Snacks and drinks were provided in the room and Diane the owner was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious (apple french toast, yogurt and fruit), but...

In order to safely celebrate St. Patrick's Day (drinking, no driving!) my husband and I along with another couple booked two rooms here for that eveing. We actually did the same last year, but for two nights. J. Palen House is in a great location to enjoy Cleveland's Ohio City, West Side Market, Great Lakes Brewing Company and the many...

Stayed for a birthday weekend getaway. Diane is incredibly warm and welcoming, the rooms are absolutely wonderful, warm and cozy! Breakfast on Sunday morning was delicious! Cannot wait to return! Also, it was so convenient to go out to dinner in Ohio City, right in the heart of everywhere you want to be.

My partner and I stayed at JPH for a romantic weekend. The house is beautiful and the hostess warm and welcoming. We stayed in the main house in the Landis Suite. Best parts: --Amazing shower with body jets and rainshower. Overall, a gorgeous, modern bathroom unexpected in a house this old. --Great bed, and overall a large suite with comfortable...

My girlfriend surprised me this Christmas with a trip to see the Christmas Story house as well as some other sights in the area. When I heard we were staying at a bed and breakfast, I got a little worried. I’ve never been real hip on them, and my girlfriend has even had a less-than-desirable experience at one. Nevertheless, when...

We spent a wonderful weekend at the J. Palen house in November. We booked the Miller Suite for a long weekend in Cleveland. The night we few into town, our flight was delayed several times. We called and left a voicemail letting them know of our travel woes. We were simply told to call when we were in our rental...

Wow, what a comfortable bed!!! I really enjoyed the jacuzzi tub too! The B&B is absolutely beautiful and Diane is a wonderful innkeeper! She suggested an excellent local cocktail lounge (The Velvet Tango Room) and had an excellent taxi recommendation when we went to dinner at Lola's. We had a wonderful time and will absolutely come back!

Found this B&B on trip advisor at the last minute when on the road between east coast and Chicago. Success!! Comfortable place in an eclectic Cleveland neighborhood to camp for a night. Well appointed rooms, and great dining advice from Diane, the Inn Keeper. She offered suggestions and descriptions, so from those we decided on a casual pub within walking...

After some serious searching around the Cleveland area, I chose the J. Palen house for a very special evening I had planned. I decided to propose to my longtime girlfrield in the loft named The Roost. After a great evening full of dinning on West 6th and the Nutcracker at Playhouse square, I took my girlfriend (fiance now) back to...
