Awesome hotel in a great location. The Vault was a cool place to have some drinks in a relaxed environment and the food at Centro was pricey but good. Customer service was top notch. Room was very spacious. Shower location a bit odd but not a problem. Great view from RSVR floor.
We typically stay at other hotels when in Cleveland, OH but I have always wanted to stay here. We went to the Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Poison and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts concert. The concert started at 4:30p so we tried for an earlier check-in than 4p, this didn't happen as the hotel was sold out from the night before. Completely understandable. We left our bag with the front desk. The front desk did try to get us in as early as possible. They ended up calling at 3:55p saying our room was available and they had taken our bag to the room. All we would have to do is stop at the front desk and grab our keys. The staff was very nice and the room was amazing. Valet was fast to get our car to us. Less than 10 minutes. We will definitely be back and I will now check here first before staying anywhere else. I just can't stress enough how impressed we were here.…
Service was noteworthy and caring, especially in the restaurant and at front desk ( Holly). Would recommend for those in the downtown area, especially business travel. Cocktail lounge-The Vault-was really cool and a decent selection of cocktails.
Overall I would not recommend this place but let me start with the positives. The folks working there were wonderful and the hotel and room is very stylish. The room we had would be great for romantic stays - bedside lighting on dimmers and a glass enclosed shower in the room next to the bed which some might find sexy. This would not be a good room for a business trip or to share with anyone but an intimate partner. There might be room layouts with more privacy. Apart from the nice bedside lighting there wasn't good lighting in the room, there were no lights at all in the room's seating area. There was a conspicuous lack of amenities for a hotel at this price - no fridge or minibar in the room, no breakfast, no pool or hot tub. I can't remember if there was a coffee maker in the room. The most serious issue is with the valet parking. The expectation is that your car is kept in a safe location when paying for hotel parking, but as other reviews indicate and the person running the valet parking confirmed, car break-ins at the garage the hotel uses aren't uncommon. Our car was returned to us with a completely smashed out back window. We were given a claim form for their insurance which made it seem that the damage would at least be addressed and taken care of - but their insurance rejected the claim as "vandalism" which they say isn't covered. Finally to any representatives of the hotel who might respond here, please, I do not want an empty apology. The parking you charge for should be secured and damage to cars in your care should be covered, if not by your inadequate insurance company then by the hotel itself.…
We celebrated our daughter's wedding at the 9 in October, 2022 with use of the roof top for the ceremony, the vaults for the cocktail, and the ballroom for the reception. It was a beautiful celebration that went flawless. The hotel delivered all the services in a timely manner and in a pleasant manner. The planning by the staff along with the actual event celebration cannot be praised enough. We also used the hotel accommodations for part of the wedding party and for out of town guests. That also went amazingly well. From the reception desk to housekeeping staff, the 9 is well prepared and competent to deliver a delightful stay and event. We highly recommend this hotel for everything they offer!
The hotel was amazing! The staff was incredibly friendly. The hotel's location was GREAT - right in downtown, The entire facility is beautifully decorated, it has a FULL gym that is better than most host hotels I've been to, the food was delicious, and the rooms were fantastic!
My stay truly exceeded any expectations that I had! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous with an ambiance that's unmatched. The suites are larger than a studio apartment with beautiful decor, artwork, fixtures, and even a fireplace. There were so many entertainment options within and near the hotel that I was sad to checkout. And, the absolute best part was the customer service by the staff! Everyone that I encountered was friendly and willing to help. My requests were met speedily and the staff was so knowledgeable about the history of the building. The food was divine and the drinks were even better! Truly an experience that I plan to enjoy every time I visit Cleveland..
I had a hard time deciding if I should give it a 3 or a 4 star review because certain things about the hotel are absolutely outstanding (namely The Vault bar in the basement and all the staff we interacted with). It's also absolutely beautiful inside and excellent location. I landed on the 3 star because the flaws it did have couldn't justify the price point that The 9 is charging. The room itself is very large but all the fine details made me feel like I was at the Hampton Inn. The door stop had be removed on our door, so there was a small hole where it opened up. The curtains were torn and dirty. The mirror was streaky. There was some unknown brown glob in your shower. It left the room feeling quite dirty. We had no hot water in the morning or the evening - we didn't want to call them in at 10pm or 8 am, in truth, they probably could have fixed this, but coupled with the generally shabby state of the room, we walked out this afternoon all around pretty unimpressed. We have stayed at the location accross the street before and felt the Kimpton Schofield was a better value (though the Betts restaurant isn't as good as the one at The 9). We likely won't be back - it just feels to expensive to give a second chance. If we come back it will likely just be to visit The Vault for a few drinks.…
Great hotel with great service. Try the smoked cocktails at The Ledger Bar! Location within walking distance to the Guardians & Browns stadiums as well as the R&R HOF. Go next door to check out the Tiffany ceiling, self-serve wine bar, and ice cream at the grocery next door.
this was absolutely a perfect stay! location and amenities were perfect. everything was immaculate. our room was quiet and air worked perfectly. this was probably the best bed we've slept in, in years. comparable to a ritz carlton mattress, so comfy! we upgraded to a studio for the bathtub which was heaven, especially after walking around so much. everyone working in the hotel was absolutely delightful. couldn't have asked for a better stay.
