Booked this hotel for 10 days for prior to and post surgery. Hospital transport wheeled us directly to our hotel room once discharged. The rooms are spacious enough to move around in. Wish the tvs were smart tvs so you could sign onto Netflix, Amazon etc. we stayed on a club floor which included hot breakfast, lunch snacks and warm tapas for dinner. Adult beverages are available during evening service. If your the caretaker of a surgery patient you need this service! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Annoinette Peterson in the club area even sent a get well card to my husband!
The hotel is connected to the cardiac hospital at the Cleveland Clinic. I stayed for 20 days spending days at the hospital and walking back through the bridge to my room in the evening. Taking a room on the upper floors entitles one to use of the executive lounge. The 3 women who run the lounge are very kind and efficient. They serve a very nice breakfast, tea ( which I did not partake of) and a light dinner which was all I could eat after days at the hospital. There is also a very large, clean gym available and almost always empty.
Stayed here while a family member was evaluated for a condition at the Clinic. Was definitely the right choice. For extra space we booked a suite. Staying on the Conceage floor was worth the extra expense. Staff was exceptionally helpful, service was great. We did either in room dining or items from the Club Lounge, both were very good. Our only complaint was the HVAC. We were on an upper floor and it was very noisy.
stayed here because of visit to the Cleveland Clinic, this place was great, the rooms were nice and clean. very convenient to the clinic, there is a walkway to the Clinic if you dont want to go outside. Staff was top notch. My wife stayed here while I had surgery and we stayed on the 14th floor and access to the lounge on that floor. This place was a Godsend for my wife while i was recuperating from my surgery. All the ladies who work at the lounge are the best! My wife got to know them all very well during her stay there, and all 3 of them are the best! In all honesty this hotel made my wifes stay much more tolerable, its well worth the money to stay here.....
We just returned from 9 days at this hotel which we chose because it is on the Cleveland Clinic campus and connected by Skyway to everything you need related to cardiovascular needs. We booked on the concierge level mainly because reviews on the service there were so strong and we thought it would be nice to have a bit of “home away from home” outside a hotel room while going through the stress of heart valve surgery. I want to single out the team there, in particular Antoinette, for really going above and beyond to deliver and relate to the customers. Truly special employees. But similar to other reviews, I would say food was limited and not consistently good. Things seemed to be in short supply as well: one morning I overheard Antoinette on the phone trying to locate Raisin brand cereal which a client ate every day and she had to go procure it from elsewhere in the hotel to make it seamless for the client. Bottom line is concierge level is worth it for the staff but hotel needs to improve on a few things to complement them and make the price differential worth it. Like other reviews, we were treated like royalty checking in but housekeeping was lax. Keurig coffee not replaced for several days, mini bar purchase never replaced, things like that which should not happen at a hotel of this standard and price. Hotel was clean but feels dated.…
While in Cleveland for medical visits we stayed at the club level of the Intercontinental. Fantastic service by our concierge Antoinette Peterson. She was so accommodating and we really enjoyed her. Breakfast at the lounge was very good. Cocktails in the club lounge were on the limited side and not really a functional bar but the bar at the restaurant Table 45 is outstanding. The hotel use to be 5 star. I would consider it 4 star now. Carpets, tables, etc. are worn. The staff and service though are great!
We were on the club floor which was great. Breakfast, tea and snacks before dinner were served each day. The ladies of the club made it feel more like a home, they knew our names and looked after us. The suite was perfect to allow guests. My sister and friend came to help me through my husband's surgery. The hotel connects directly to the Cleveland Clinic so you aren't leaving the hospital campus when you head back to your hotel room. It is not a five star hotel, but it was perfect for being so close to the hospital.
We stayed here on our visit to Cleveland Clinic. Friendly, helpful staff and attached skyway to Clinic makes it so convenient. We stayed on Club level and want to send a big thank you to Anntoinette Peterson, front deck concierge agent. She was always so friendly and willing to help us with anything we might need.
We stayed on the 14th floor, and want to particularly shout out Antoinette Peterson who handles her (sometimes tough gig) with grace, class, and efficiency. Always a wonderful place to stay when we're visiting Case Western Reserve University.
The hotel was extremely convenient, clean and the staff very responsive. Restaurant was also great! The Club Room staff of Antoinette, Burnadette and Monica were positively incredible and couldn't imagine a nicer trio of ladies that were accommodating and super sweet.
