This hotel was in a great spot for football or baseball attendance. Also visiting Rock and Roll hall of Fame. Clean, free breakfast, coffee/tea always available in Lobby. small snack stand in lobby as well. CVS right up the block in case i forgot something. Staff is friendly and helpful. The only con is parking. you have to put car in lot across street or valet it, so take that into consideration when booking. All in all a pleasant hotel.
This property seems more like a Hilton than a Hampton Inn. I found it nicer than some of the Hiltons I've stayed at. Stayed one night in August, 2021. Solo trip driving from MI to CT. Went to an Indians game while I was there. I booked a stay including the parking directly with Hilton.com. The parking process is easy, friendly and quick. Allow a few minutes to retrieve your car. If you are using the valet parking, you'll need to present the stub to the front desk. So, the phone app check-in is not totally contact free. I selected my room on the 15th (top) floor. Nice view of St John's Cathedral across the street. The room was clean with relatively new furnishing. Comfortable bed, bedding plus a small desk area and a dresser. The lighting and outlets were sufficient and well located. TV is decent sized with 75+ stations - including the major news, sports, movie and local channels. The breakfast was okay. a couple hot premade omelet choices, cereals (including oatmeal), muffins, fruits and make your own waffles. Better than the standard Hampton Inn fare. The location is convenient to the Rock & Roll HOF, downtown Cleveland and all 3 major sports venues. I walked to the Indians game (<15 minutes). At 11:30 PM the walk felt safe, well lite and with plenty of other baseball fans.…
This was the worst stay I have ever had at a hotel. Systems were always down. Staff was very rude and not understanding. I got charged for something without ever being told which overdrew my account by $600. Also had a food item placed on my bill that was not ordered by anyone in my rooms. DO NOT STAY!!
On a six week trip cross country, husband and I stayed at this hotel in September. As I recall there were no issues. A typical Hampton in a very good location. We walked everywhere we needed to go. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful with directions, etc. The problems came up after we returned home and I thought perhaps we had been double charged. I have just spent an entire week trying to contact the manager, Lewis or the assistant manager (didn't catch name). I left numerous voice mails to no avail. I finally realized they did not intend to return my calls. This morning I once again called the hotel and threw myself on the mercy of the desk person. We went through my dilemma and she then referred to corporate advanced purchase department. To make a long story short, within minutes the person at corporate had solved the issue. This review is posted with reference to management at the Cleveland Downtown location. Neither of these two individuals should be in a position of management anywhere. They are and I suspect will continue to be bad representatives of the Hilton chain. One phone call to me could have saved me a week's worth of frustration as well as given this hotel a better rating. I will probably in the future put Hampton down farther on my list.…
Walking distance to Playhouse Square and more. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Enjoyed hot coffee on arrival and at breakfast. Valet parking is $34 per day. That’s right, $34. The valet staff was fast and courteous, but $34? For parking?
