This was our send stay at Romer's . This visit we stayed here for 3.5 days with additional family in an adjoining unit. The unit was not perfect, a cable box went out and the tub had some intermittent draining problem, but overall it was fine. The place was Covid clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic for the area and the pool and pond were nice. My 3 Y/O happened to catch her first fish out of the pond while we were there!. Is it the New York City GW Marriot, No, but for the area it's a great place and priced reasonably well. We will be back! Are only suggestions, get some king sized beds for some of the units, and upgrade the playground area.

First time staying here came for Kings Royal and absolutely LOVED IT!!!! The rooms were spacious, everything was clean, the view out the back patio door of pond was beautiful. Enjoyed setting out there in mornings drinking coffee. Pool was close, the staff were very friendly and we had no problems. Loved walking along Grand Lake and so much to do so close before races started. I will definitely be back for Kings Royal in 2022 and be staying here. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay with lots of things to do close and beautiful views. Thanks for making our stay AMAZING and see you again in 2022 for next Kings Royal.

Very nice place to stay, close to town and just across from the lake. We were surprised how roomy the villas were. Management gave lots of good recommendations on where to eat, but to really show what kind of people you would be dealing with, we were allowed to keep our villa until after the eclipse (4 pm) for no additional charge.

Stayed in one of their one-story duplex units. Two couples. Very nice for the 4 of us. Nice walk-out patio, full kitchen. The villas are not lake-front but a short walk will take you to the lake. One bedroom had a queen or king & one had twin beds. Only drawback was that a second bath would have been better.

We stayed for one month and were very happy with our stay. We ran into two problems in our unit due to no fault of the owners. Maintenance took care of it. We would stay here again because of the cleanliness and good condition of our room. All of the staff were friendly.

My family (8 of us total) stayed at the Westlake Village on Sunday, May 28th. We had 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, full kitchen with washer and dryer, and our own patio. We even had lake view. The price was only $84. It was very nice, like a little apartment. We were going to stay at a motel.

For my birthday we took a trip back home to visit my mother and decided to stay at Westlake Village as we had on prior occasions. Those in our party were my brother, his fiance', myself, and my fiance'. We preferred to stay at this location rather than a hotel because we enjoyed the condo atmosphere. Upon making my reservation I found that the condos we had stayed at previously were no longer available, but the villas were. We arrived late after an evening at my mother's and the key was in the lock box. Upon entry, the first thing we noticed was how incredibly COLD it was inside. The heat was all the way down and it literally took hours for the place to warm up. The next morning my brother and his fiance' each had brief showers and left for my mother's to wait for us. (We were all going out for my birthday dinner.) As I turned on the water for my shower I discovered that there was literally NO hot water so we checked the tank. It was a 55 gallon tank, the villa was designed to accommodate six people, but the water was COLD. We guessed that as they had the heat, turned down the tank to conserve energy. We had reservations so rather than wait an hour for the water to reheat we packed our things and decided that we would just shower at my mother's house. We were upset to say the least as a shower should be included in our stay. Fuming, I waited in the car while my fiance' checked us out. It took him twenty minutes because apparently she couldn't get the printer to work to print our receipt. I later called and requested to speak with the general manager and/or owner of the facility. Lindsay, the office manager apologized and assured me that they would be in touch Monday. No call. Wednesday came and I emailed the office. The following Monday rolled around and Lindsay called and said that she had JUST gotten my message. She asked if she could help and I said "no" but that I wanted to talk to HER boss. She proceeded to tell me that after we spoke the last time she had the water heater examined and that it was working fine. I reiterated that I wanted to talk to HER boss. She said they were out of town but she'd have them call me later that day. No call. Today, (Tuesday) I emailed the office once again but a different email address this time. Julie, the general manager returned my call and informed me that she'd never received complaints about this before.. "many times regular hotels may run out of hot water but these villas have individual water tanks so they don't"... "there are construction workers in there now not complaining"... that "maybe in the future they SHOULD turn up the heat when they have customers coming"... apologized but offered no resolution whatsoever. I felt as though she was calling me a liar and I could detect annoyance in her voice and comments. She didn't care one iota that returning customers were upset and offered nothing to compensate for their less than satisfactory conditions. NOTHING. Just a lame and insincere apology. She was clearly bothered by my complaint and acted as though she could care less if we returned or not. I highly recommend that you avoid this location at all costs. It wasn't worth the headache during or after our inconvenient experience.

We stayed at Romer's for our daughter's wedding. We had 2 spacious bedrooms and 1.5 baths. Enough space for everyone to get ready and not trip over one another. Nice TVs for the guys to watch the game also! Would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake and pool! Highly recommend!

My son from TN and I have stayed at The Westlake Hotel Villas for the last two years while attending the Eldora World 100 Race.
My son & I have attended the race for the past 20 years. We found your facilities to be the top of the line. This year we stayed in a suite overlooking Grand Lake Saint Marys. The view was beautiful & in a quiet setting. The condos had a full bath in each bedroom, washer & dryer, fully equiped kitchen, & ample closet & chest storage space. The living room had double glass sliding doors with chairs on a patio. The condos had extra towels, toliet paper, detergent, etc. Two swimming pools were available. We couldn't had requested any better accomodations. The price was within the price range of any hotel we have stayed at in the last 20 years. The area is historical & interesting. Unfortunately, we were informed by the clerk at the desk while checking out, we couldn't reserve the suite or any rooms for September 6-8th of 2007 since they were already booked for these dates. I was wondering if I needed to book two years in advance instead of one. I was told I would be placed on a waiting list but I never saw one. If one wishes to stay, I would suggest reservations far in advance. Cordially Tim Knight Southern Ohio
