Located in the heart of Amish Country, the Berlin Grande Hotel is a recently renovated 122 guest room property with modern decor and down home service. Featuring large spacious rooms, an indoor heated saltwater pool, expanded meeting space, a business center, 24-hr fitness room, free WIFI and long distance for our guests, a friendly supportive staff, and spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
This hotel is the cleanest and nicest hotel I've ever stayed in! My sister and I stayed for a weekend getaway and were impressed with not only the hotel's cleanliness, but the spaciousness and tidiness of our room. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was hot and fresh with many food varieties to choose from, and the reception and food areas were clean, with much attention to detail. Our bathroom was large, with a beautiful walk-in shower. Housekeeping was amazing, cleaning and providing fresh lines for our room each day without our asking. We highly recommend Berlin Grande Hotel for all getaways!

This is an extremely nice hotel. From the friendliness of the front desk staff to the spaciousness and cleanliness of the room everything is perfect. The grounds and flowers are beautiful. Breakfast is large and very good.

Can not say enough positive things about our one night stay. The receptionist at check in was warm and friendly, and was able to direct us to a place close by for my son to purchase a belt at 830 in the morning. We had the smallest room and it was huge, with a breakfast bar and chairs. The bedding was soft and just the right "weight". The breakfast in the morning was varied with strong options. The pineapple was freshly cut, the coffee freshly brewed, and the cinnamon and maple rolls right out of the oven. Who needs the overrated waffle maker. The kitchen staff were super kind. A guest scratched herself and the kitchen person immediately offered assistance with antiseptic and bandages. We plan on making this a Thanksgiving stop each year. Clean, clean, clean...

I reserved the Grande Room off their website 5 minutes after 5:00pm est, and I received a call from the hotel less than 50 minutes later stating that the room I book was already booked this morning. This is unprofessional and laziness to not update their own website when they only have one Grande Room in the entire hotel. I would think twice booking a room at this hotel. If they are so lazy that they can't update a website five plus hours after a booking, I hate to see if their rooms are kept clean and updated.

Unfortunately, there can sometimes be a lag between booking times and this very infrequently leads to overbookings. This spacious,well-kept property welcomes your pet with first floor rooms with sliding doors to the outside and parking for ease in meeting your pet’s needs. The room and bathroom are comfortable and very spacious. The only thing to enhance the room would be a light by the armchair for nighttime reading. A convenient receptacle for your pet’s deposits is right by the back door with pick up bags available. There are several patios with tables, seating, nighttime lights, covered and uncovered, which were all being enjoyed. There’s also a fire ring that people were enjoying on a chilly night. The pool and hot tub are both indoors for year round use with towels provided. The exercise room, though small, was certainly adequate for walking, bike riding, and stair climbing. The morning hot breakfast menu posted for the week is varied and delicious In addition to cold options like cereal, bagels, English muffins, cinnamon rolls juice, yogurt, etc. It was very nice to return to the room where the bed had been straightened and remade, trash emptied, and fresh towels in the bathroom. The location is central but apart from the hubbub of downtown. Kudos to the designers and staff for a great visit!

Can’t believe I fell for this sham. Let me start by saying I’m not finding excuses just to complain. These are all legit complaints. I really have no idea how this place has the reviews it has and how it qualifies for the price they sell it at. $350 for this room is a joke. The evening front desk staff ladies are unfriendly and could care less to serve you. I asked if they had any fresh coffee and was told “I don’t know.” No offering to make any or would you like some? Simple hospitality gone out the window. We go up to the room and it gives a great first impression. Then it goes downhill. The Wi-Fi didn’t work in the hotel the entire time. I called and asked about it once and it was acted like I was not clicking the correct Wi-Fi name. I call again and ask if they are aware that it is down to which I get an “unfortunately”. So she knew there was a problem from the get go. Strike one. The shower water pressure is nice and water very hot and warm. It is accompanied by red mold all over the shotty tile work. Strike two. The bed when you lay in it had a huge sink hole that springs greeted your spine with. And the pillow was like laying on a brick. I think you could buy a $5 pillow at Walmart and it would be more comfortable. I laid on my son’s pullout sofa mattress for a minute and it was more comfortable than the king bed. Strike three. I could hear the people in the next room talking until bed time and then snoring all night. The walls are thin. Strike 4. I figured for the price and the name “grande” in the title that this was really gonna be an awesome place. What a joke. Take your HUNDREDS of dollars elsewhere. There are way too many other hotel in this area for half the price that are much nicer. I will not be back and I hope my review helps someone not make the mistake I did. I would love a partial refund for this hotel.

The Hot tub was hot, clean, and bubbly. The pool water and room was very a very nice temperature, you feel cold the first 5 seconds after jumping in and then you are totally fine even if you stayed in all day. The staff like their jobs and are have great people skills. Rooms are very big, all over 400sq ft. Normal hotel room is 200-250 sq ft. They served us a full hot breakfast (eggs, waffles, bacon, hash browns) with also all the normal continental options (toasts, cinnamon rolls, oatmeal, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, muffins, 100% juice juices, etc) Kids 17 and under are free for breakfast and for the night stay in a room with adults which makes it a very family friendly hotel. They have a nice complementary coffee, hot chocolate, tea bar open all day. Also have fresh ice water with orange pieces at the same bar all day for guests. There are gas fireplaces in the entry lounge and breakfast areas which are very nice/romantic. Location has a great view out the back and has an outdoor pavilion in that area. Would be very nice on warm days. Hotel has conference rooms on that side also. I think most or all the rooms have a small balcony which makes rooms so much nicer. The only drawback is the wooden constructed floors. They are fully carpeted floors but made of wood and hard footsteps above (or in unfortunate cases running, jumping children) make a unusually loud noise. So if you come on a busy day and don't like noise, then ask for a top floor room, and you won't have any problems. There is an elevator. Our heater/air-conditioner fan in room 211 was a bit squeaky. We loved our stay there in a double queen deluxe room and will stay there for sure again if we are in the area. In the room was a kitchen sink, countertop with 2 seats, a microwave and empty fridge. No plates or silverware etc, but coffee/tea maker and paper/plastic cups. Beds were soft, lots of pillows, and bathrooms were large and clean. We had to ask how old the hotel was because it seemed brand new. (they said it was 12 years old). This was modestly priced for all you get!!

Berlin Grande hotel was modern, clean, and very friendly staff. Walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops and stores. Berlin and the hotel sits between other towns with points of interest, so the location is very central for driving. Just FYI, EVERYTHING in Berlin closes at 7:00 pm on Saturday and is closed on Sunday. The hotel provides breakfast that was very good and convenient, since you would have to drive to another town for breakfast.

We booked a king room for 3 nights. This room included a walk-in shower and complimentary toiletries. The shower did not have a grab bar which may be something to consider adding in the future. The room also had a nice -sized leather couch, a sitting chair, cable TV and small kitchenette. The room and the hotel were kept very clean.
Daily hot breakfast was included from, I believe, 7-10 AM. On one of our mornings at 9 AM I notified a kitchen worker that the decaf canister was empty. I received, in a very terse tone, that she knew it was empty and if I wanted decaf I could use the individual packets located at the hotel entrance. With an hour left of breakfast service why not make more decaf??
We had daily housekeeping which was nice to see come back in the hospitality industry.
It was quiet at night with an outdoor fire pit to keep warm.
The hotel is close to shops and the main road. You can walk to the shops or drive to the many parking areas available at the shops.
We would definitely stay here again when visiting the area.

You most certainly can. We would love to be able to lock your request in but there are times that room maintenance or other issues may require us to move you to another available room at the time of check-in. But we will always do our best to accommodate your request.
You most certainly can. We have complimentary hair dryers to dry her off once you get here. She doesn't have to be soaking wet. :0) The room will give you loads of space, even enough for a playpen.
