Enjoyed two different rooms because of two different stays and enjoyed both nights. We were very impressed with the Innkeeper, Amy. She was so warm and friendly. She provided us with excellent suggestions for our visit to Holmes County. What an outstanding representative for her employer. I nominate her for "outstanding employee." Because she kept this Inn in top notch... More

I was the unusual business traveller coming to the Inn, and Amy accommodated me beautifully. Usually you receive a certificate for breakfast at the Farmstead - a restaurant around the corner . Because I was out so early in the morning, she generously brought in some yogurt and fruit for me to grab and go on the way out in... More

This is a clean, comfortable, and modern place to stay in Amish Country, Ohio. We were met by Amy, one of the managers of the place, and she immediately made us feel at home. She provided us all sorts maps, brochures, and recommendations for shops - we were interested in bentwood furniture and rockers, as well as places to eat.... More

This place used to be the Lamplight B & B. It's now owned by the company that owns The Carlisle in Walnut Creek and Sugarcreek. There are only 7 rooms so it's very quiet and exceptional customer service. The Inn Keeper was very helpful and friendly and the room was very nice. I have no complaints!

We ate at the Inn. Lovely buffet. We ordered family style. You can order with 2-3 meat choices. We ordered 2 meat section, everything brought to table family style. Refills if needed. But we had more than enough. Everything was delicious. Will definitely go back next summer for dinner.

This was my and my husband's first time staying at a B&B. We were not disappointed! The staff here is so incredibly friendly and accommodating. The rooms are just as pictured: clean and quaint. We stayed in Vintage Charm, which had a king bed and a (luxurious) jacuzzi tub. Our room also had a fireplace and television. We were not... More

This is a beautiful place with great service. Amy, Janet and Jennifer all worked very hard to make sure that all our needs were met. Immaculate facility, rooms and grounds. We actually stayed in two rooms which are essentially the same. Both very well appointed. Beautiful common area. Great coffee and cookies in the evenings. Did I mention that they... More

This inn is beautiful and our room (#2) was very comfortable. When visiting Ohio Amish country, I feel that staying in Berlin is the most centrally located to all the shops, restaurants and other activities. The inn is about 2 blocks from the main street which makes it extremely quiet and peaceful. The one draw back to the total B&B... More

One of the best places we've stayed. The inn was the best part of our trip to Amish Country. We stayed in the timeless romance room, the jacuzzi was so nice and relaxing after a long day of walking. We really liked the breakfast in the morning and that you have access to the outside from your room. Thank you!

Our stay was a get away weekend visiting Amish country. We stayed in the suite on the lower lever. It was very private with a nice country view. The suite had a nice size living room with a sofa bed, a full size kitchen, nice bathroom and a very comfortable bedroom. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to anything... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the tradition of Carlisle Inn, seven graciously appointed guest rooms await your arrival. Like our other inns, you'll find each room has its own unique style and color palette with fine Victorian details such as lace curtains and four-poster cherry beds. The quaint setting is that of a home away from home, although each of our seven guest rooms has an outdoor entrance. With its more intimate setting, Carlisle Country Inn Berlin is an ideal location for family retreats. Deluxe rooms have a Jacuzzi tub and one suite has a spacious living area, fully-equipped Kitchen and extra bedroom. In keeping with its past as a Bed and Breakfast, the common areas feature a flat screen TV, a collection of DVDs and comfortable couches for lounging. Breakfast is included with your stay - from Monday to Saturday, you'll receive a certificate for free breakfast buffet at nearby Berlin Farmstead Restaurant. On Sundays, hot breakfast will be prepared and served at the inn. Carlisle Country Inn guests may swim in the pool at our Sugarcreek location. Formerly known as The Lamplight Inn Bed and Breakfast, Carlisle Country Inn was purchased in August of 2014. It is now owned by the family company that operates Carlisle Inns in Walnut Creek and Sugarcreek. ... more   less
