We were traveling from Iowa to Pennsylvania. We booked a night here just to break the trip- up . The lady working the front desk was very nice when we called the front desk in the middle of the night wanting an extra blanket. The price point was a little high as the rooms needed to be updated and when we woke in the morning their was no shower head. Over all it was the ticket for a good nights rest for the 6 hour drive we had ahead of us and very quiet.
We decided to come and stay here after many arduous days of debate upon which hotel in the area would suit our needs for a possible lengthy stay. After all is said and done, we found that this was the best of the best. The staff is great as it's always nice to walk in the door of the lobby and be greeted with a smile. Elizabet "The manager" was more than fantastic with making our stay feel as close to home as she could. And the rest of her staff followed not far behind. The kitchenette in each room is definitely not something I could go without in a hotel now after staying here. And the rooms are spacious. Only complaint for the most part is the shotty wifi. But other than that, do yourself the favor and stay here!
The manager and staff went all out to accommodate my needs. Virtually all of the rooms in the hotel have housed pets, a problem for those with cat and dog allergies. My room was extremely clean, the furnishings, bedding and towels of modest quality. Connection to internet impossible. *This hotel one of a limited number of hotels in my Delta Vacation package. Disappointing in that regard.
I recently stayed at the Suburban Extended Stay in Dayton. Just 2 days prior, the town got hit with a dozen tornadoes, So, to be honest, I was just happy we had power. Aside from some on again, off again internet, my stay was pleasant and comfortable. Fresh coffee in the lobby, a extremely helpful staff, & clean & cozzy room. I had a full kitchen, which made it easy to cook some meals, like I was at home. If not, there are plenty of great restaurants nearby. Lastly, the hotel, along with local churches, was offering extreme discounts if not free lodging, for locals, who lost their homes in the storms. Great to see local business giving back to the community
Staff was very nice. Room was pretty big for the two of us. Room seemed clean however room didn't appear to have been really cleaned since last stay. The coffee pot had coffee in it. There were only 2 towels, no wash clothes. The pillows had head dents in them. The pillows were also paper thin, but we went to a nearby Walmart and bought 2 new ones to remedy that. Water hot. Fridge froze my bottled water but maybe because fridge was mostly empty. When we asked for towels we recieved a huge pile right from the dryer. The washclothes both had what appeared to be blood stains on them. Last night there the fire alarms went off at 5am and they had trouble with them from that point on for the rest of the morning. Not a lot of communication with guests about the situation. We actually stood outside in our pjs for a bit because we didn't know what was happening and had to go inside to ask front desk. Someone burnt toast? The hallway did smell like smoke but the room itself didn't and if not for the towels and fire alarm I would have given it a 4 star rating. Tiny tv. Hotel is down a quiet road which is nice and near restaurants and museum.…
