Tanonga Eco Lodges offered tranquility, abundant wildlife and breath taking views. We stayed at the Ridge and rested for 9 blissful days. I cannot speak highly enough of Michael and Jill, our gregarious and generous hosts. The location is remote so stock up on booze and yummy food. We ventured into Coffin Bay 4 times during our stay which is... More

This place was everything I had hoped it would be. Slightly out of the town, still a casual 20-30 minute drive to Port Lincoln and Coffin Bay and just so beautiful, relaxing and peaceful. Accessing the property was just too easy and on arrival you have everything you need to settle in. The view was more than picturesque and my... More

We stayed 2 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and ambience and the great views from the huge windows over to the bush. Just be prepared that as it is eco friendly there is no microwave or toaster, and power cuts can occur. (but Michael managed to get the generator going again in about 10 mins.) We would advise... We stayed here for 2 nights in January in the Valley Lodge. The property is very nice however the experience during the booking process left a bitter taste; I booked a cellar package via Wotif then received confirmation / directions from the owner via email that stated 'room only'. I contacted the owner to clarify this having read previous reviews... More

Jill C, Owner at Tanonga Luxury Eco Lodges, responded to this review

A genuine mistake between the package on the Tanonga website and the connecting package booked on wotif, was immediately acknowledged and honoured, and has since been rectified - both full breakfast provisions and complimentary wine were provided to the guests on their arrival for the reduced rate advertised on wotif. Tanonga owners apologise for this error. Quality service is an... More

We stumbled upon Tanonga while searching for luxury Accomodation. The description boasted stunning views and tranquil seclusion which it delivers in abundance. We chose the Ridge Lodge as it's location provides uninterrupted views of the surrounding bush land and the gulf. The winding track leading to the lodge is a taste of the surroundings that make these such a unique... More

Stayed here recently and I wish we could have stayed for longer! It's in the middle of nowhere and so quiet and peaceful. A lot of windows so you have perfect views wherever you are - there is even binoculars so you can watch the birds feeding or watch kangaroos down in a nearby field in the evening! The lodge... More

These lodges have been developed and furnished with great care and quality items. If you want to immerse yourself in luxury and nature, this is the place to do it. the TV is available - with DVD - and stereo - if connection with the outside world is desired, but it is possible to turn off to the world almost... We stayed for 5 days and it was a fantastic rural luxury escape in a beautifully designed eco lodge. The Ridge lodge has distant views to the ocean and surrounding scrub and farm land. Very private, peaceful and only 15 minutes drive to surrounding port Lincoln attractions and services if needed - or just relax and enjoy the luxury which... More

We stayed for a long weekend and wanted to stay for a week :) The privacy we enjoyed was unbelievable, the only interruption was a friendly fox greeting us through the bedroom windows in the morning! (not a wanted guest by the owners!) As a gay couple we wanted somewhere where we were welcome and our hosts could not have... More

Our ridge-top eco acomodation was as luxurious as I'd hoped for. What I had not expected was the privacy, peace and quiet from our hilltop eyrie. And the views! 360 degree views from the full length windows ranged from regenerating forest to wheatfields, interupted only by the passage of galahs, parrots, eagles and at dusk, kangaroos. The bedroom skylight made... More
