We stayed in one of the cute little swag huts. I thought this was a brilliant idea just to stop little critters from crawling into bed with us. There was a flushing toilet, bucket showers, a big camp kitchen and a large pile of wood to burn for a fire and it was all clean and well looked after. The... More

This was bush camping with a difference, where for $10 we had a flush toilet and an interesting hot bucket shower. We had the site to ourselves in a natural bush setting. Beach some distance off, but an interesting drive nevertheless. If a bush camper, don't be put off by office surrounds as bush camp site is some distance away.

Stayed here two nights, excellent value for money. A unique experience. We stayed in our camper in the bush camp area and spent the day at Venus Bay which isn't far up the coast. The swag huts were a great idea and the bush showers were an experience in themselves! It would be great if there was another toilet but... More

It was an amazing experience to sleep in the amazing swaghuts, they are cute and comfy. I loved what had been done here. Just an amazing spot. Jo and Hassie are great hosts and have a lovely dog, Maggie stayed with us, which was lovely. The aboriginal art in the kitchen is also very nice.

Loved the place. Would definitely come back again. Nice and quiet . Peaceful . Rustic. Lots of space. Shame we couldn't stay longer. Easy to find. Need to be self contained. Interesting place for the people with swags to sleep in

We stayed 2 nights in a tent. There are some good private spots for tents and lots of swag huts. The camp kitchen and amenities are serviceable but need some minor maintenance work. Facilities only cleaned once a week so get a bit grotty. Plenty of firewood on the property. Private 4wd access to beach is fantastic. Views along coast... More

We read about Cooldie Park Farm Retreat on Wikicamps. It lived up to its reputation. Great lay-out. Lot of thought gone into planning. Heaps of room. Loved the bush shower - with hot water and also the camp kitchen. Very quiet. Glad we found it. Great fire pit.

We had a wonderful, relaxing 3-night stay at the Piccadilly Cottage. The cottage has plenty of room and everything we needed. Hassie, Jo, Richard and co. gave us great hospitality--the homemade jams and night-time tour of the farm were outstanding. The farm's beach is rugged and beautiful--we spent hours there taking it all in with a feeling of connection to... More

We stoped here on our way home to wa, we had toured the Eyre peninsula for 5 weeks and left this place until last as we wanted to see talia caves, and they are very near by, we wish we had gone here first we would have stayed longer, it was brilliantly set up for Bush camping and we loved it... We stayed in the Piccidilly Cottage for 2 nights. The cottage was older style but had everything we needed. It was an easy trip into Venus Bay for supplies, and also to Bairds Bay to swim with dolphins and seals, which was wonderful. The scenery around the coast is spectacular.
