The Eco Villa provided a version of "glamping" although they didn't effectively pull it off. This was a disappointment because the villas aren't cheap. Our villa was an awkward combination of upscale and average. The kitchen was well-stocked and nice, but the window shades kept breaking and, oddly, the toilet was on the other side of the living area from...

We stayed at the motel, which was surprisingly better than we expected for a lodge motel in the outback. Had all you needed, good bathroom, air conditioning, cooking facilities, we ate in the restaurant on site, which although was relatively expensive, served good food. -the lamb platter was remarkable. We went up to walpena pound and took the walk up...

Rooms were clean and simple and the bed was reasonably comfortable. Its miles from anywhere so everything comes from Adelaide and there is an associated cost that comes through in the price. The restaurant is very good and we had a good honest meal.

Another absolutely positive surprise during our Trip! Traditionally built with straw to keep the heat out you find a real luxury environment there. Amazing views to Wilpena Pound and Flinders range from the villas terrace. You need to watch the scenery during sunrise and sunset! To cool down the have a nice pool. The staff is very friendly and helps...

Heading to the Flinders in January (Summer), we decided to splash out on an Eco-Villa for comfort and were not disappointed. The villa offered a cool respite from temperatures in excess 40 degrees celsius. Gorgeous views, delicious breakfasts. Each villa is privately separated from others with bush plantings. Swimming pool just for villas takes in the spectacular landscape. Even though...

Good value accommodation and good location as a base. In the low season they appear to have less ranger staff available, so some 4wd trips and flights not available. Go to Wilpena Pound for these instead.

Thank you for the comments regarding Rawnsley Park as a base to explore the Flinders Ranges. We do offer our full range of tours and light aircraft flights through the summer months. However, some of the 4WD tracks through the gorges were closed for a few days after the recent rain.

Great guided trip with knowledgeable guide. Expensive but worth doing. We stayed in a one bedroom place, part of a group, not one of the self contained villas. Accommodation a bit disappointing facing into car and people area rather than out to the wonderful views of the flinders ranges. Swimming pool a very long, hot walk from accommodation. Restaurant expensive,...

Thank you for the rather mixed review. Pleased that you enjoyed the day tour. The Holidays Units are arranged in a courtyard pattern facing Rawnsley Bluff which I believe does provide a great view for anyone sitting outside on the deck area.

Enjoyed my stay in the eco-villa where everything was conveniently located amongst this oasis. The rooms had everything we needed, albeit we were never there long enough to use it all as there are so many things to do in the Flinders. The location was fairly remote, but I still thought that the tariff was a bit on the higher...

We stayed for 1 night in a 1-bedroom unit which was very well outfitted. The cooking facilities were very nice and included all that we required. The lovely porch had a great view of the mountains. While we didn't have dinner in the restaurant, we did enjoy a drink in the bar before dinner. I would recommend this Station to...

Stayed in a two bedroom cabin for 5 nights and would recommend Rawnsley to anyone thinking of travelling to the Flinders. The walks and drives around the area are spectacular. Staff at the Park were both welcoming and helpful. Interesting evening at the Woolshed Restaurant on NYE, a little bumpy to start with but ended well with John O Dea...
