Jane met us with freshly baked scones with homemade strawberry jam and cream - WINNER. She then took a laundry basket full of my dirty washing and washed it for me. It was returned to our room FOLDED and the items which could not be put in the dryer were hung on the clothes line to dry, then in our... More

4 STAR this is not! You are kidding yourselves if you think this is the 4 STAR standard advertised; 3 would be more appropriate given the exterior and room presentation. The whole place is very un-kept, from the filthy bird cage outside reception to the dingy rooms at the back. Scones and jam, just don't cut it with us; and... More

Thank you for your feedback - although it would have been more helpful to have heard this from you personbally so that we could have done something to correct it, or offered a discount. Please note that we have now completed the replacement of all our towels so that thin ones are a thing of the past. More

We stayed for 3 nights. Lovely hosts, great location and close to everything. Sadly though, this motel is in need of a good make-over. Dark rooms, mouldy shower recess and old linen/towels. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly but need to spend some money on improving their premises.

Thank you for your feedback. We are upgrading as finances allow and have now replaced all the old towels, had down lighting put in the bedrooms and had the showers treated. Enjoyed meeting you - stay well. More

room was filthy. dirt under the beds and dirty underwear from previous customer found in the room indicating the rooms are not cleaned between customers. Bed spreads had blood on them and were dirty. time to be discarded. Toilet cistern would not turn off so had to listen to running water all night. Host said she had changed the towels... More

Very quiet, relaxed and also very friendly. The motel itself is very small but that makes it more quiet and gives a home feeling. The owners are also very kind and will help you with many things. I Would definitely recommend the Curtain Fig motel if you are in the area

I developed a love affair for the Atherton Tableland's legendary Curtain Fig Tree just outside what was then a very sleepy and otherwise forgettable little Yungaburra way back in the mists of time - 1948 to be exact, when I first visited with my grandparents. As a lifetime Qld Railways employee, grandad had an annual pass and what better way... More

In some ways this is more like a traditional B+B than a motel. It is a small and personal establishment where Jane and Mark welcome the guests and make friends with you. The rooms are clean, spacious and well equipped with own entrance, coffee machine, microwave, TV, ensuite bathroom. Jane baked fresh scones for us when we arrived and one... More

Just spent two relaxing nights here. Jane and mark along with their sidekicks (Lucy andOscar). Made our stay hassle free and enjoyable. The rooms are large and clean with extras not found in most motels( namely microwave, coffee macker, toaster and DVDs player). The welcoming afternoon tea of scones, strawberry jam and cream set the tone for the rest of our... More

I organised our wedding for 12 December 2015 in Yungaburra on the Atherton Tablelands. We had some 80 guests who all needed to be accommodated from 1 – 4 nights and they were travelling from Sydney, Gold Coast, Cairns and many points in between. Given the number of beds required, I booked out all the available accommodation houses in Yungaburra... More
