Detailed Reviews
We stayed for 2 nights at Blue Summit Hideaway. Each unit has its own parking spot, located convieniently close to your unit. A little fromt gate seperates the unit from the rest of the property. Behind the gate you find a little courtyard with a table and 2 chairs for outdoor eating or relaxing. The entrance leads into a small but cosy living area and besid it is the bedroom, shower, eperate toilet and a small but well equipped kitchen with everything available you could ask for. The unit presented itself like brand new. It was clean and tidy. There is a well working airconditioning unit and a quiet ceiling fan, as well as a TV.
The attention to detail is second to none. GThe curtaoions are generous with plenty of overlap, so no light will penetrste during the night. The ceiling fan is well balanced, so it doesn't wobble and hence it is very quiet. All amenities are well chosen and nice. There are plenty of coffee capsules for the Nespresso machine and plenty of tea bags. Everything works perfectly. We had a great time and will be back next time we visit Yungaburra.

We booked a deluxe room which included a spa (which we didn’t use) however it was comfortable clean with a separate sitting area, separate bathroom and private courtyard.
Staff were fantastic and provided great information around the facilities in this town and also where to find platypus in the local creek and best viewing times (we did see a number of platypus).
The accommodation was a central place on the Atherton table lands which enabled us to do easy day trips. It was close to most eating venues, however most were closed due to Covid. We ate at the pub in Yungaburra which was reasonably priced and quite good food.
At present, most restaurants in Yungaburra are not open until Thursday night through Sunday. However it is a 13 km drive to Atherton where there are a number of good restaurants. We found a cheap and cheerful Thai with good food and BYO.

A superbly relaxing stay. Our room was beautifully clean and fresh. We stayed in Unit 4 which bordered a park and was in such a quiet, private location at the back of the Blue Summit Hideaway property. The unit was equipped with everything needed to prepare a meal, however, hardly necessary as Blue Summit Hideaway is located very close to the Yungaburra Hotel and several other excellent restaurants/cafes. The township of Yungaburra is a brilliant, safe place in which to enjoy walking - don't miss visiting Lake Eacham & Lake Barrine.

Our third stay at this exceptional place was once again fantastic. The comfort, quality and location coupled with the attention to detail made for a great stay in the great Yungaburra village. The new landscaping and maintenance is spot on.

This accomodation was by far the best we stayed at during our road trip of North Queensland.
We had two villas (one for my son). This worked out well because he had the space and privacy he wanted.
The villas are gorgeous set in tropical gardens and private! During our two night stay we didn’t see one other guest despite us being informed it was fully booked. We loved that and the location was central to shops.
The Villa had everything you could possibly want, nice furnishings with all the little extras and provisions that you could buy which was handy.
Everything was marvellous - Netflix and comfy bed and the amazing complimentary port.
We loved Yungaburra too!
Gina was lovely to deal with as were her staff.
We can’t wait to return to Yungaburra again and Blue Summit Hideaway!

A wonderful place to destress and relax. The unit was spotless, bed just like home and everything you need at your fingertips. The staff were so friendly and made us feel very welcome, car parking off street is a bonus. Would definitely recommend for a great retreat

We stayed at The Lakes Edge Retreat and in the Spa Villa, both run by Blue Summit on 2 separate occasions and they were both excellent! Spotlessly clean, lovely amenities, well equipped and well serviced daily (Sandra in particular was very thorough). Lakes Edge is a bit bigger (one bedroom) and further out of town (3 mins drive!) and the Villa is right in the heart of the town. Ate one night at "Our Place" which was delicious for a dinner and Whistle Stop Cafe for a great cooked breakfast. Yungaburra was a lovely welcoming town and a great central place to explore the Atherton Tablelands area which is stunning.

We spent 2 nights at BSH which has a great location in Yungaburra and the Tablelands. Gina was very welcoming, giving great suggestions about what to see and do in the area. The accommodation was fantastic, spacious, very well equipped, clean and comfortable and the gardens immaculate. A great place to stay.

We stayed at Blue Summit for, sadly, only one night when we were doing a 2 day driving visit to the Atherton Tablelands. We really regretted that we were not staying longer. The owners have gone to enormous trouble to add all the little extras - bathrobes, spa bath, bath sheets instead of towels plus there are a range of high quality local snack foods and bath products for you to purchase and add to the luxury of your stay. The King bed was incredibly comfortable, bathroom beautiful, the area is quiet and there is even a little outdoor enclosed area attached to the cottage for smokers if you happen to be a smoker. Walking distance to the creek where the platypus are. Yungaburra itself is a fabulous and beautiful town to stay in. Walking distance to the lovely old pub with excellent pub food. Were we ever to return we would not even look at other accommodation, we would go straight here.

Booked the studio and had an absolutely horrible first night. The room had frosted glass on front doors so did not feel private. There was no bathrobe as the information said. Kitchenette was in bedroom, not in the lounge area, but had no sink. The only sink was the small bathroom sink. This is where I was meant to wash dishes— next to toilet! I couldn’t fit my water bottles to refill them. The bed was not at all comfortable. Most important, the website says the room might have some light traffic noise in the morning. The traffic noise was constant all night and people were talking just outside both at night and in the morning. I could not sleep a minute, even with earplugs and putting on the sound machine in my phone. I felt horrible for my day of exploring.
In the morning, I went to reception to ask for a refund for the next night so I could find another place. The boss was away and the girl told me she couldn’t do anything. She was really unhelpful. I demanded she call the boss as I was so tired and could not do another night with no sleep. It took quite a few requests but she finally did. The boss did not refund my second night but moved me to a villa at no extra cost.
This was much better! I would highly recommend these rooms. They are much quieter, very comfortable bed, had a proper sink and the promised robes. Touch lamp by bed useful when up in night., I really enjoyed this night. I also like the welcome port provided, which is a nice touch.
Stay away from the studio room unless you can sleep with ongoing noise. In the other rooms, you will have a fabulous stay here.
