Packed in so tight with very narrow roads making parking a van very challenging in powered sites, unpowered area a free for all with spaces not marked out. Unlike other van parks, no one guiding you in. Key for amenities a pain. Whole park not suited to wet conditions (muddy) - in the tropics so rain common. Take away great,... More

Overall the caravan park is great...location location location opposite the beach! We stayed in a villa which was fine nothing special. BBQ facilities are really good. Pool facilities were good but too cold for swimming- beach is warmer! (July average temp was 26 degrees) Worth going to see such a beautiful location.

Just spent 3 nights on a powered site which was fantastic. The staff are great and you are met with a cheerful greeting straight away. The park is across the road from the beach overlooking Dunk and Bedarra Islands. Beautiful sea breeze and miles of flat beach to walk along. No hustle and bustle which is great nor shops so come... More

A nice caravan park with many improvements happening BUT what really stood out for me was the exceptional service throughout. From the front desk to the yards man to the ladies cleaning the amenities, everyone was happy and very helpful. I experienced a couple of difficulties with the van and without exception everyone worked to solve the problem and minimise... More

The pool has a waterslide! For our kids this was the best part of their holiday to QLD. Cassowaries wondering about. Beautiful spot by the lovely mission beach. Went snorkelling on the reef one day. Taxi to snorkelling wharf $50 each way. Hired a boat and went fishing and had an amazing seafood lunch on Dunc Island. Kiosk at park... More

Just a few steps across the road to a fine beach with beautiful views of Dunk Island and other small islands. Tidy well managed small park, feels a bit crowded during peak season but everyone friendly and considerate. Nice garden rows between sites but many of the van sites are small (check in advance if you have a big van).... More

Very nice small park. We stayed a week. People are nice and welcoming. Bit noisy with traffic and lots of mozzies, maybe because it was wet!! Fabulous if you want to see a cassowary, they visit the park daily. Beach just across road is excellent. You can launch your tinnie or hire one to go out and around Dunk island... More

We stayed here with our little boy. He spent the entire stay in the pool which was so beautiful and perfect for children and adults alike. The place is not huge which was ideal for us. Everyone we dealt with was delightful and super friendly. The place is spotlessly maintained and absolute beachfront where we had our G&T's and made... More

Right from checkin you feel very welcome here. Elvira at checkin was very friendly giving us lots of information. The envelope with all the brochures in it is a great idea. You just take out what you want and give it back at the ned of your stay. The sites here though are very tight, so make sure you check... More

The Beachcomber is at the south end of lovely Mission Beach. A very warm and helpful welcome from the staff. This is part of the high standard Big 4 Group that are throughout Australia. Campsites possibly a bit tight for space but support facilities are excellent. A very useful camp cafe and shop at the gate. Free wifi throughout the... More
