We have stayed here a few times and always enjoyed it. Great location to shops and resturants, everything in walking distance. Park the car and walk to everything - its great. Sitting on the balcony watching the sunrise is pretty special.

We had a room on the 15th floor with views of the river and out to sea. The pool was excellent and it is in a great location close to shops and cafes. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. The place was good for a rest and for exploring.

We (2 couples) recently stayed 2 nights in Apartment 48 on the 13th floor. This apartment provided two queen sized bedrooms at opposite ends of the apartment, each with ensuite / close bathroom access with large open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area opening onto balcony with views across river to ocean sandbar and across the town. The kitchen was well equipped, laundry had washing machine and dryer and the apartment was clean, tastefully decorated and well maintained. Under cover secure car parking with internal access to apartment block. Reception and lift areas had a lot of tourist information brochures and reception area was staffed during business hours with keyed access to the building after-hours. Well maintained grounds and gardens, complete with water dragon. In close proximity and very easy walking to town centre, restaurants, bars etc. Pool area overlooking the river looked inviting, although we did not use it.

My husband had been in hospital with pneumonia so I decided to whisk him away for a few days of sun, sea and sand. Family had recommended Northcliffe warning us that it was an older building but had stunning views and in a perfect spot. The managers were so helpful and very accommodating. They gave us keys to look at two units one with a side view and one with a front view. We chose the unit on the the third floor whic was really nicely appointed with 180 degree views. The main bedroom overlooked the estuary and over to Cotton Tree and the ocean. We just totally relaxed enjoyed the views, the paddle boarders with dogs balanced occasionally hopping off to swim alongside , kayaks, wind surfers, pelicans and a family of swans all contributed to the beauty of this stunning spot. There is a spa and pool a BBQ area and shops and restaurants outside the door. We did not take our car out at all it was so easy to just walk to our desired destination. We can't wait to rebook and to take our family with us I know they will be as happy as we were.

Phoned this place to see what there units were like. On there web page it stated Standard, Superior, Premium. The lady I spoke to told me what they meant. I told her what I was looking & she said she would phone me back. When she phoned back she said unit 17 would suit me. I went ahead & booked it. Well unit 17 was not what I asked for. Badly needed a renovation. Main bathroom the shower screen on the bath was missing a panel, cupboard was falling apart on bottom. Dryer was so noisey you couldn’t use it & couldn’t control time stuck on 120 mins. Kitchen- Stove old & rusty, fridge door sticks, crockery chipped looked like it came from second hand store. Main bedroom- mattress was terrible to sleep on, shower in ensuite full of mould, glass on shower door looked like it hadn’t been cleaned, soap scum & water marks. The ceiling fan hardly moved on high. Tv if you changed channels you had to wait up to 10 mins to connect. Kept saying weak signal or no signal. Very noisy on Saturday night due to Resturant next door & band playing. We ended up leaving a day early & when asked why told manager the reason. He said u should of come & spoke to us. I ask what would he have done. He said he would of replaced the mattress. I ask why I was given a unit with none of the requests. He proceeded to tell me they were quite booked out. Then I said I should of been told that & I would not of booked. We were not offered a refund for the early departure. Photos on there web page are nothing like we the unit we were given.
