We stayed at Rose Gums for 2 nights in a two bedroom Tree-house. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable and completely self contained. The breakfast basket for our first morning stay was filled with delicious local produce. With only the sounds of the birds and nature it was

We stayed in Rose Gums for two nights toward the end of November (not long enough!!). We were in Treehouse 6 Whipbird, which sleeps 4 but there were just 2 of us so it felt spacious and roomy. We were amazed driving to the reception through a beautiful jungle, with brush turkeys

Dear Kat, Thank you for taking the time to write this lovely review! We are glad to hear that you thoroughly enjoyed your spacious treehouse and all that it has to offer. Sitting on the balcony and listening to the weird and wonderful sounds of the forest, relaxing in spa bath with a view and taking advantage of the facilities within the treehouse. As you mentioned, we are very secluded, so you can relax without being disturbed by anyone, except for the brush turkeys scratching around! All of our accommodation is fully equipped with kitchen facilities, so you are more than welcome to bring your own food. We would recommend purchasing this before you arrive as our closest towns are about 20 minutes away. However, we do offer a range of delicious chef prepared meals to heat in the privacy of your own treehouse, you can find the options on our website. We're glad to see that you loved the free wildlife viewing at 8am. It's quite spectacular seeing the flurry of parrots coming down and feeding, the brush turkeys running around and the smallest kangaroo in the world, the Musky Rat Kangaroo. When walking on our tracks, I'm sure that you not only embraced the beauty of the forest, but found more wildlife. Apart from Rose Gums, there are plenty of sites and attractions which is clear to see that you fully embraced it! We hope to see you sometime soon! Sincerely Gabi

Only marginally better, I believe. Rainfall in the wet season is remarkably variable, and you just have to take your chances.

Hello, There is a difference of between 4 and 6 degrees in temperature between Cairns and the tablelands. we are almost 8oo metres higher . during our wet season we can get up to two metres of rain for the season, so it is very wet. There is a difference in humidity levels, but it can still be humid up here, just not as bad as down on the coast!

Although there are lots of trees about, I seem to remember the view from our cabin was quite open with hills in the distance
