This is the 4th time I have been here over the years and its consistently lives up to expectations!! We were greeted by the owners charming son and picked up afew dvds of the shelf as it was going to be a rainy weekend. Chalet was clean and the bed super comfy. We always love the breakfast basket waiting in... More

We had 3 nights here. We stayed in the accomodation furtherest from the restaurant which was inconvient as we didn't want to have to drive, the walk back at night was not ideal. Apart from that everything was nice although not really quite the level of quality you would expect for the price. The shower had the worst water hammer... More

A stunning spot in the Atherton Tablelands where you can truly unwind and relax. Whilst some may find the no reception/no wifi a little scary, it certainly encourages total relaxation and some quality time with loved ones! Sitting on our balcony we had uninterrupted views over the rainforest and distant mountains. Great for opening a good bottle of red and... More

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your stay at Rose Gums. We are delighted that you enjoyed the peace and tranquillity to be found here. Connectivity is definitely an issue in such a remote location but we hope that by limiting availability to the reception area, we allow our guests the opportunity to "get away... More

Hard to find if you happen to come from some directions. Navigation system didn't know the address until I found out that I shouldn't drop Malanda as destination. You need to drive about 9 km over unpaved road to find the place, which is absolutely gorgeous. The accommodation has everything you need, and a splendid view (if it isn't raining).... More

Yes a corny title but staying here is quite a uniquely nourishing experience. Our tree house was quiet ( except for the constant melody of nature) and secluded, with a panoramic view of the forest and mountains. On the first morning we took the guided notes from the tree house and walked to the creek. Birds sang around us and... More

My family and I just spent three wonderful nights in the Cockatoo treehouse. We are a family of five with three children age 2,7, and 10. The kids had a fantastic room upstairs in our spacious two room house. The place had the most amazing views. The birds sounds are beautiful. We saw wild cassowary twice while we were there.... More

We recently stayed at Rose Gums and we're completely satisfied with the natural beauty of the property, the soothing sounds of the rainforest and the excellent on-site restaurant. Lake Eacham is only a short drive away but you would be hard pressed to want to leave once you've arrived. Absolutely loved it!

A fantastic retreat in the tablelands. Very comfortable treehouse with a great privacy. Well equiped kitchen and nice fireplace. Absolut perfect for nature and bird lovers. If we go back to the region we would again stay there.

Firstly before you arrive make sure you know exactly where you are going and I wouldn't recommend doing as some other guests had done and trying to find it in the dark, after all there is a clue in the title! That said it is set the most beautiful of locations right amongst the forest and surrounded by nature. The... More

We've just spent two wonderful nights at Rose Gums. We were in Whipbird, which was a two bedroom A-frame cottage. I was with two young adults who had been very excited by the idea of staying in a treehouse, Swiss Family Robinson style. The cabin was not a treehouse, as it is called on the website, more a chalet, which... More
