Retro and quaint style smaller rooms. They were clean however my room had small bugs coming into the bathroom through the large screen on the window. The pool was refreshing but very small and full of splashing children. The meals were good and the group's overall experience was pleasant.

Dear Rachel M, Thank you for your comments. Nice to know the "overall experience was pleasant" and meals "good". The pool is small compared to a huge resort I suppose but not , respectfully , for a motor inn like ours in an isolated part of Australia . Very rare that it is "full of splashing children" though it's good...

This is definitely the go to motel for any stay in Longreach. We stayed four nights in a queen deluxe room and couldn't have asked for a better room anywhere. The bed was extremely comfortable and the split system air conditioner was very quiet making for a very peaceful night. While we were in Lonreach we tried a few local...

Dear trmartin123, Thank you for your comments. What wonderful comments they are! Harry's is certainly very popular and deserves it's reputation and our cleaning staff , as well as all staff here, really do care and do their best to ensure our guests have a very comfortable stay. Everyone who met you and Ellie were very impressed with how energetically...

Look, she ain't the Sofitel but she's way better than the roadside motel down the road. There's 3 lovely places to stay in Longreach - I've stayed at all 3 and elsewhere. This is my pick. Some say rooms are dated, but they're fine. Plus it has the absolute best restaurant in town. And while the other two places are...

Dear MuzzaN, Thank you for your comments. Another one of our very valuable repeat guests ! Wonderful to hear from you Muzza . Please make yourself known to me some time. You are correct. We certainly aren't the Sofitel. We don't claim to be or want to be . You stay here and obviously understand those points very well ....

The restaurant is excellent and the rooms very good. We travelled in the off-season and the restaurant breakfast was closed Sat and Sun. It is better value than room delivered food available every day. It is hot. Do not travel to outback Queensland unless you can endure heat and flies. The flies were minimal at the Motel. We used the...

Dear GregMaxWal, Thank you for your comments. It is obviously a great season for visitors from beautiful Canada. We said good bye to a large tour group from Alberta this morning . They stayed with us for three nights and had a lovely time here as well. I love your descriptive review. Lots of facts about our town and region...

We arrived on our Golden Wedding Anniversary trip on th Spirit of the Outback train from Brisbane to an exceptional welcome from Sarah, the receptionist daughter of the owners. From the initial contact with her, nothing was too much trouble. In fact I rang her to ask if she would organise our time there (4 days) with tours we had...

Dear worldtraveller2007_7, Thank you for your comments. I am a bit lost for words. Unusual for me. I know I have explained , many times, how important it is when our guests not only appreciate how hard we work for them , but go to the trouble to articulate positive reviews on line. John and Carole, you are more than...

I am travelling for work. The room has a queen bed and a single bed. There is a fridge, tv and great air conditioner. Wifi is available, information is provided at reception. The room very clean and is serviced daily. The onsite restaurant provides great quality food. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly.

Dear Melissa T, Thank you for your comments. It is rare that one of our corporate or industry "rep"guests takes the time to write a review. Thank you. You have articulated some of the items regarded as very important by the many regular guests who stay with us. Of course the quality of items such as beds, meals, service and...

Four of us stayed at Longreach Motor Inn in November 2016, choosing it for its handy location, with a short walk across a park to the Civic Centre and the main drag. This property is one of the closest to the town centre and opposite the rail station. A walk into the town is about 5 minutes away and it's a very flat walk. Great location but very tired, needs renovating. One meal was a BBQ hosted by the owners, while the BBQ was very nice we had to sit through a lecture on the meat industry. I think the owner likes the sound of his own voice. By all means use this motel but don't go to the BBQ!!!!
