We have just spent three nights here, our second visit in two years both times travelling as two family couples. Peter and Jane have done a great job in carrying on the wonderful tradition of fine service provided by the previous owners. The meals were superb, particularly the Friday night buffet and the breakfasts had an abundance of fresh, local... More

We spent a night at the Cedar Park Rainforest Resort a couple of weeks ago on our way to Kuranda as part of our drive around Australia. This may have been one of our best stays so far on our trip, the place is remote, it’s no frills, no TV, no phone service so people can actually unplug as they... More

We stayed here in Sept of 2014 and it was beautiful and remote! The previous owners were the chef and the keeper and they provided an amazing experience for us. It was our anniversary and they made a great dinner and dessert to celebrate. The room was amazing and in the morning, we made coffee and just listened to the... More

This intimate and friendly getaway resort is nestled in a peaceful, quiet and beautiful rainforest setting. The building is unique and it is a bird watchers paradise. The meals are plentiful, the mood relaxing and the guests feel very at home. Sally G

What a great little place in the middle of nowhere. Off the highway, this property has no TV and no phone service which adds to the ambience of the place. Laze on your own private hammock overlooking the rainforest, listening to the sound of the creek nearby. The rooms are unique with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The... More

We stayed here for one night before our flight back to Sydney. It is def very relaxing and the owners are very nice. You definitely need a car to come here. The rainforest is located next store but you do need to cross a creek to do the walk, in which you would get wet so we did not do... More

We stayed for 2 nights while visiting the Kuranda and Atherton Tablelands, You do need a car to get there and to drive around the region. Peter and Jane are great and helpful with local places to visit. Online booking was easy, they communicate with you prior to your arrival ie.they did let us know about the Friday buffet...food was... Great place to stay for relaxation. A bit off the beaten path, but that's the reason for staying here. The breakfast is "continental' in some sense, but surpasses my expectations for the term. There was a ton of food, all delicious. The room was large and comfortable, the property beautiful and an easy drive from Kuranda and other rainforest attractions.... More

Cedar Park Rainforest Resort is perfect for those who want to visit Kuranda but enjoy a peaceful time in nearby woods. The drive is about 19 km, with the final 3-4 km on an easy (at least during the dry season) dirt road. We stayed here 4 nights and drove to Kuranda for part of each day. While it is... More

We booked this online by description on bookings.com. Unfortunately the photos do more for it than the reality. It was a quaint setting, well off the road, needs refurbishment and is definitely overpriced!!! Would go so far as to say not well managed at this stage. I believe the current owner has only been there for approx. 12 months. It... More

Dear Laraine, I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay at Cedar Park. First, you told me you had been to Cedar Park for a meal before so you were already familiar with our out of the way situation and unique accommodation. Second, you pinned your stay on eating dinner in our restaurant which is what you enjoyed last... More
