We just had a weekend of camping at Somerset Holiday Park and it was lovely. A big plus for me when camping is the quality of the amenities area and I was pleasantly surprised. Our amenities block was modern and clean. I didn't feel like I needed a full hazmat suit to enter. 😜 We will go again for sure.

We have stayed here twice before because of its very pleasant location. It is a clean and very well run holiday park covering a very large area on a peninsula on a very large lake. There were more people here on this occasion possibly because we stayed on a Friday and Saturday night. We don't mind a certain amount of... More

We stayed for three nights (Fri-Sun) and thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful and relaxing environment. It was great as this particular weekend, it was quiet so our young toddlers could walk around quite freely. It is great to go here and relax, do a spot of fishing, go for a walk, etc. I haven't experienced peak times and can only assume... More

Just back from Lake Somerset today. We stayed Friday through to Tuesday. We were told approx 500 booked in so we were happy when it was not too crowded in the section we set up in. We were able to set up with plenty of room around us. The biggest disappointment was the major lack of grassed areas. The other... More

The reception staff are very friendly and the booking and check-in process went smoothly. We had a powered tent site. The sites were really big so we had plenty of room and didn't feel like we were camping on top of the people beside us. The amenities block was close by with nice hot powerful showers. The camp kitchen was... More

That,I think, is because we were in a Villa Unit at the tip of the promontory, & the other 4 units were unoccupied, but that was what I needed. We stayed 3 nights in Villa No. 3 in the middle of the week. It is a 2 bedroom unit. The view from the villa & wildlife on and around the lake... More

Somerset dam and the holiday park are a great place to visit. They have great camp kitchens, lots of space and you can have a fire! We also could play golf at the nearby Kilcoy golf club. Boating and fishin paradise!

Seriously this site is like a high school backpackers at night. Two nights in a row kids partying, drinking, vomiting and swearing from 7-11pm. We had our two sons who couldn't sleep. And it was low season July!. Where is the night patrol? The 24hr number? How do they let people play music til all hours. We asked the people to... More
