This hotel is in a great position with great views down over the Endeavour River. However the interior of our room was very tired and drab, with a brown bedspread , a flimsy shower curtain and an airconditioner ( essential) in the bathroom , which was supposed to flow into the bedroom as well ( but did not do so... This hotel is in a great location and has good facilities. Plenty of eating places within walking distance .It is easy to access the waterfront and walking paths. There is a guest laundry and clothes lines. The staff were very helpful.

Stayed for one night in one of the lower deluxe units. Room was modern, spotless and clean. One downside was the road was very noisy but quite ok with the doors shut. Next time we would only book a top unit. We asked if we could have a top unit when we arrived but it wasn't possible even though only... More

Room 1 was clean and adequate for a one night stay. No fly screens on most windows. Built many years ago and it shows. In wall noisy air cond that struggles to achieve much. The cooked breakfast was ok. Very central but then Cooktown is small.

Stayed in the new rooms with a great view of the river and directly from where Captain Cook repaired the "Endeavour". Great balcony and spacious rooms with full size shower and bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful and rooms were clean and comfortable. Close to all attractions and short stroll to coffee shops and restaurants. Recommend a must stay and... More

This is a large motel catering for tour groups and others. Bedding and en suite were comfortable. Our room had a wonderful view over the river and we ate dinner across the road in Restaurant 1770. It was excellent. Cooktown is understandably touristy with so much history, such beautiful views and some wonderful old buildings. We walked the length of... More

We stayed overnight at the Seaview Motel Cooktown. I can't think of a motel that is better value for money. The staff are very helpful and we got 10% off our dinner at the 1770 restaurant because we are staying at the Seaview. Our room is very comfortable and the view is outstanding. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed upstairs, and the view of the beach and the boats in the mornings from my bedroom, was spectacular!!! The staff are very accommodating and make your stay an enjoyable one. Sandra at reception is very knowledgable of the area, and very pleasant to deal with.

It was a last minute decision to head to Cooktown for the weekend to catch up with friends who were travelling through. There is only one play we always stay and that is the Seaview as they have the best views in town. We stayed upstairs in a deluxe room and they are the best they have. So comfortable with... More

Great view from the deck outside my room. Very neat and clean rooms. Nice clean pool, motel is walking distance to restaurants and wharf area. Only stayed one night but would go back if in the area again. Was good to have a table and chairs outside our room to sit and enjoy the view.
