Rude, unfriendly staff at reception on check in, bar/ restaurant staff friendly and helpful. Rooms, basic but this was not unexpected , linen not overly clean with sand in beds. Stunning area. Decent walk with luggage to rooms, lots of back packers - lovely on the beach.

We stayed for 3 nights in 2 cabins. Weather was mixed. Umbrellas provided to enable guests to get from reception to cabins and cabins to restaurant. Restaurant was very good, both breakfast and dinner. The beach walk at 4pm was well worth going on. Lovely beach.

This is our second trip to Cape Trib Beach House and we were welcomed back like family! This time we stayed in St Crispin cabin which are in the process of a lovely refurb but still in the best spot on the resort. Sitting on our balcony sipping a cold drink and watching diamonds on the water through the trees... More

Walking up the path back to our cabin we realised it was raining - but the dense canopy overhead meant no rain reached us - we were truely in the forest. This forest goes right on to the beach just north of Cape Tribulation. It very attractive but of course no good for swimming... The cabins are basic but comfortable,... More

Located in the rainforest, next to a beach. Not safe to swim in but lovely to look at :) Accommodation is nice, facilities are good for long term stay. Bit far from everywhere else but there was plenty of activities to do in the area at a reasonable cost.

Cape Tribulation Beach House is a no frills accommodation option in a magical place. Our room was very basic, just a double bed, basic bedlinen, some hanging space for clothes and a table. The bathroom was small with a shower but no bath. I don't think the room had air-conditioning. It was really a backpacker accommodation style ‘private room’. There... More

Listen to the rainforest while you go to sleep and when you wake up. Fresh air, peaceful surrounds. Beach sports are a treat. If self catering you might find the kitchen a challenge. The line of day trippers going to and from the restaurant disturbs the otherwise peaceful surrounds.

My wife, 2 children and myself did not want or expect a 5 star resort. We wanted a quiet and peaceful retreat away from car noise, city smog and large crowds of people and we got that in spades here. The room (named an Escape) was perfectly adequate for the family. It had comfy beds and pillows with clean linen... More

We stayed here as a family (parents and kids 25yo+) - great location right next to the beach and pick up place for the majority of any activities/attractions. Amazing walks straight from the beach house. We ate in at the restaurant for most nights and the food is great with something for everyone. We stayed in a 5 bed room... More

I stayed there one night in June 2016. I think it is the only hostel in the area. It is a yha hostel, but not as good as other yha's if been to. The rooms are ok, but the beds are really bed (mattress horrible). The bathrooms are ok clean, but I would expect more for the price. The outside... More
