The spacious (but slightly dated) lodges are in their own patch of rain forest, with a walk around the grounds that gives you a real feel for the habitat. There is also a night-viewing area for wildlife such as striped possum and sugar gliders. It is all self-catering and there aren't that many lodges, so book ahead. The nearby Lake...

This place is just beautiful. Peaceful & pleasant. With friendly service & fantastic amenities. A wonderful covered pool & an open sun deck. Wildlife viewing every night, we saw some super cute sugar gliders, but no possums. There is plenty of room for the kids to run & play. The lodges are clean comfortable & well equipped with everything that...

We arrived at Chambers Lodge for our final 2 nights in Far North Queensland after 4WDing and camping for one month. We decided to spend a few nights in a real bed and take advantage of the animals that call this property home as we are avid wildlife photographers. We arrived at approximately 7:30 to the viewing platform, not speaking...

A good location near Lake Eacham and Yungaburra, this will suit the traveller who enjoys bird life and wildlife. It is a comfortable lodge with few frills but a good base to use as a base for the interests. Also good to have a swimming pool on site. Few lodges have such a good pool and this was a plus...

OK, reviewers are correct in calling it a 'little tired' maybe some of the bedding could be refreshed & bathrooms updated, but a 5 bedroom stilt house in the rainforest, that's pretty cool! Everything was clean & comfortable & the night time viewing platform for sugar gliders & possums was perfect. We stayed with Jonathan Munro from Wild Watch Australia,...

We were given an efficient introduction to the property, what walks there were to do, and the night-time viewing platform and what we might expect to see there. We were also told that if we had some bananas or apples we would attract the birds to our balcony. But we’d arrived by that time so it was a bit late…That...

A beautiful area for a lodge, swimming pool, seating area and lovely rooms with a seperate seating area with TV, kitchenette. Bathroom was small with hardly an shelving or hooks but did have a hairdryer. Free wifi. Freshly prepared breakfast. Lovely hosts who clearly love this place.

Warm and wonderful welcome, great unit, set in some beautiful forest, with an awesome swimming pool ideal for cooling off after exploring the amazing local tablelands. But what tips Chambers into 6 stars is their incredible night viewing facility where we saw in the wild Striped Possum, Sugar Gliders, Bandicoot, Leaf Tailed Gecko and melomys within a few metres-absolutely awesome.
