Not hotel style room at all but a home away from home with everything pus more! Always a pleasure to stay at Aquabelle; funky, spacious rooms, all necessary amenities including coffee machine WITH pods, high end bedding and of course the view is one of serenity, peacefulness, and calm as well as, at times, untamed ferocity, depending upon the tides of the open ocean. Close to all manner of eateries, hairdresser and nail salon. I don't know what else one needs, really. :o)😉

We had a trip interstate cancelled due to COVID and found Aquabelle at the last minute, which we were so glad we did. We stayed in Apartment 2 which met our expectations and was true to the photos online. It was full of natural light and became quite warm with the winter sun coming through the massive glass window/doors leading out on to a balcony which had beautiful views of the bay. Sitting outside at night rugged up with the beautiful knitted blankets was peaceful and relaxing. The kids loved having the chrome cast so they could watch their shows streamed from our phones. The furniture and beds in particular were so comfy we didn’t want to get out in the mornings and the skylights made a difference with natural light streaming in rather than having the lights on when it was a little gloomy outside. The kitchen had all that we needed even though we went out for dinner or got take away most nights and enjoyed the apartment. The bathrooms were beautiful especially the big bath which the kids absolutely loved as it was bigger than the one at home. The apartment was big enough for a family with plenty of room to not feel on top of each other. Next time we will definitely be staying for longer and try in the summer as it’s the perfect spot for the beach. We will be back again!!!

We stayed in apartment 2 - 3 bedrooms for 2 adults and 2 children (14 and 16). Only $445 per night as low season but not a bargain as not luxe! The positives: Easy to find, plenty of parking out the back, awesome beach views, big rooms, plenty of seating in lounge, free wifi, heaters in bedrooms (needed for concrete floors), lots of toiletries, washer/dryer combo. The negatives: No smart tv in lounge, has DVD player (who uses those now we have Netflix?), adequately clean (but see tissue box photo and shredded bathmat and thinnest washer ever photo), mismatched cutlery and crockery (some chipped). Two bedrooms have no tv, no window/glass panel/balcony/natural light - so eerie. Main bathroom doesn’t have a seperate toilet. Probably my fault as I did not read the Trip Advisor reviews closely enough and was lured by the glossy website photos. Apartment 2 will do for now but certainly not luxe - a couple of sheepskin mats does not equal luxe by my standard.

Thank you sandra m for reviewing your stay with us. Sadly we didn't meet your expectations and for this I apologise. We do appreciate the positives you mentioned in your review - the space, the view and the amenities. Perhaps our use of the term luxe may need reworking/ rewording so as not to be misinterpreted. Our brand offering is definitely not luxurious. We determined via guest research that 'luxe' to a Rye holiday maker means - large, light-filled spaces with room to enjoy a beach view, sleep well and experience the Peninsula in casual, contemporary, family friendly surrounding. We do not pretend to be a 5 star hotel and apologise if you feel you were mislead. Covid sadly set us back with our renovations (planned for last August) now taking place this August (we close Aquabelle One, Two & Three on July 26 for 6 weeks). During this time we will be undertaking works that include some of your negative comments. The TV in the living room will be replaced by a large flat screen wall mounted Smart TV. The current TV does have Google Chrome-cast so I apologise if you missed this. Chrome-cast allows you to watch Netflix from your device cast onto the large screen. The main bedroom does have a Smart TV but we don't plan to adding Smart TVs to the other two bedrooms given that most people stream and watch on their personal devices when in bed (we gauged this via our 5 children aged 11 - 22 who barely turn a TV on. ) The second and third bedroom have ceiling skylights with blinds that, when open, stream in daylight which is not overly conducive to sleep but easily opened according to a guest's preference. We tend to keep them closed just to save guests from having to do this before bed. We take your point on the frayed bathmat and mismatched crockery/cutlery and will improve these moving forward. The thin/disposable face washers were a choice based on laundering cost vs makeup stains. The disposable ones won ( I often send to guests after they have stayed because they love them!). Our photography represents the apartment with true and trustworthy intentions. Again, we apologise that the apartment did not delight you and your guests. We take pride in our business and are disappointed that your stay did not live up to your expectations. We do acknowledge your comments and appreciate you taking the time to make them. We strive to correct the shortcomings moving forward.

Just returned from an awesome midweek autumn break in gorgeous Rye with my best friend. Apartment 5 has two bedrooms- both with ensuites and even a private courtyard off the back bedroom. The master is gorgeous! With luxury bath and ocean views. The fully appointed kitchen made eating in a breeze, and the excellent heating meant we were always cosy and warm even when the weather got a little crazy! The skylights rattled at night when the wind picked up, but that is to be expected so close to the water. Great also to have a washing machine to use after a day at the Hot Springs. The sinks in the bathrooms were logistically awkward to wash your face with such long spouts down into the basins, and the toilet roll holder in the loo was attached upside down so the roll continuously fell off, but these were minor quirks only and just added to the charm of the place. A suggestion for the owners - a coat rack on the wall near the front door and a place to stow an umbrella would be a great addition for the winter months. Overall, a wonderful stay - can’t wait to go back!

We booked Aquabelle over a year ago but had to postpone a few times due to the Covid lockdown. So it was with some relief that we finally made it. We stayed in Apartment 4 which, to my delight, has a nice view of the Rye foreshore. The one-bedroom apartment is so spacious that it is almost a shame to only have all this space to ourselves. The weather on our second day was pretty dismal and many shops were closed on Monday. However, since we have been to the Mornington Peninsula a few times before, that did not faze us. We drove around visiting nearby coastal towns and then spend some more time in the apartment. The location is right in the heart of Rye so walking to nearby shops and cafes is handy.

LWee, we finally got you to Aquabelle! Covid certainly meant a lot of our guests had to reshuffle their dates so we are happy you finally got to stay. We were so happy to be able to upgrade you to a beach view apartment - much better for watching the world go by and the weather in your case. See you again.
