The Manse is a beautiful, quiet and relaxing place to stay. Rooms are well appointed, if not a little small and the bathroom is literally a water closet, so only stay here with a close friend or partner as there will be no secrets. Period features and decoration gives the place a nice heritage feel, yet close enough too town...

Quirky and not your average stay. Cast iron Bath and old type water closet were included in the room. Basic breakfast provided but we opted to eat in town. Wifi worked on the first night and failed thereafter although the password hadn't changed. Walking distance to shops and cafes. Small boutique hotel with about 6 rooms (most self contained). Didn't...

The room was very quaint, and no trouble checking in and out. The location was central and was easy to find. Although the room was not a modern hotel it had all that you needed in an old fashioned way.

We had a wonderful stay at The Manse. Thank you for the generous hospitality and chocolates on the bed and even by the bath to enjoy by candlelight. The complimentary port was lovely and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We woke up half expecting a chambermaid from Downton Abbey to come in and light the fireplace! It was truly a...

We stayed at the Manse over the weekend for our anniversary. It was a fantastic and romantic place to stay! They really went above and beyond in terms of the breakfast items they left for us, the chocolates, champagne and port all around the room. The claw footed tub in our room was fantastic, we both (just) for and had...

We booked by phone, gave them an estimate time of arrival, the woman didn't ask for a deposit. We arrived at 2pm, then 3pm then 4pm then 5pm, gave up after that, we had a booking for dinner at 6, so frantically tried to find other accommodation. We phoned the Manse 4 times, only a recorded message and to this...

Lovely 'old world charm' room with open fire place which was just what we needed. Mirth at the old style look of the toilet but joy at the claw foot bath tub. It had real electirc heating too and the micro kitchen was well set up if a bit squishy. Our package included a bottle of bubbly and nice bread...

The Room was Large and well equipped, Beds were comfortable with and the room had a view as described. Self sufficient pantry was a nice touch for our one night stay in the Mans, it had all the fine touches of a well equipped room. Shops, Markets and sights all at close proximity from the hotel. Will definitely stay there...

The manse really exceeded my expectations. The room made a great first impression with lovely high ceilings and the big claw foot bath on display down the back of the room. We had an issue where our key got stuck in the back door but ally made sure this didn't compromise the quality of our stay and gave me instructions...

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and were extremely happy with our room. The attention to detail with the heritage decor to added extras of chocolates and sparking wine on arrival was a wonderful suprise. Ally our host was very welcoming and because we arrived after the weekend rush we basically had the place to ourselves. The...
