My husband, myself and our two girls (3.5 and 1.5) are just back from a two-night stay at Alecia Cottage, and it was a breath of fresh air - literally! We were looking for somewhere not too far from Sydney, and at just over 1.5 hours away, discovered this little gem on the internet. As soon as we got there,... More

We stayed in the Original Cottage and had the most amazing weekend as a family of 6 adults. Each cottage has a chook pen with very active layers giving you plenty of eggs for the weekend. The cottage was furnished with beautiful old furniture reminding us of our grandparents homes. All the animals are friendly and great for families with... More

We stayed in Alecia cottage for 3 nights, cottage was very nicely decorated. First day it was raining but the toys, books provided and jacuzzi tub kept my kids entertained. Feeding of animals was at our own pace. We drove down 20 min to coles to stock up on bread and carrots for the animals. Kids enjoyed themselves. It would... More

Stayed 3 nights with daughter and 2 grandchildren from the UK plus son, his wife and 2 small children. The cottage was well appointed we didn't feel cramped and there was plenty to keep the children occupied both inside and outside. Ages were from 6 to 2. They all cried as we left. The animals were the highlight. Cant wait... More

There were 9 of us meeting again once each year. Our group split into the two allocated huts( cabins) but at meal times we all gathered in the one hut, that being the Alecea cottage. The unit was certainly well appointed with every consideration given to make our visit and stay totally memorable for all of us. Weasa group have... More

We stayed 2 nights in Braeden Cottage and were very impressed with how comfortable the cottage was. I have a 5 year old and 6 year old daughters and they keep asking to go back. It was such an experience to be able to walk through the paddocks and meet all the animals. All the animals have names, which my... More

Well worth the wait. We needed to book weeks in advance to get the Original farmhouse just delightful something to look at in every room from a simpler time in Australia s past. Warmly and cheerfully decorated. Breakfast is in a basket and of good proportions. Suitable for all ages. Farm animals were a real treat

We stayed here for 2 nights with my wife and 2 kids. It was a great launching pad for a day trip through the Southern Highlands region – with plenty of small villages/towns, vineyards and drives. The cabin and property are obviously cared for and had good facilities. In the cabin - wood fire (with no cost firewood), kitchen, washing... More

We stayed for 4 nights at Braedon cabin. It was well worth the money paid in my opinion (although there was just 4 of us). It was big and airy. It was super clean. We were greeted by Jason and he was great. Very warm and hospitable. My daughter enjoyed this trip very much, she loved feeding the animals. Brushing... More

We stayed for a week with our extended family, using all three cottages. Proximity of all cottages to each other is good and kids ran around having a great time. Our stay was mostly enjoyable, but we found the cottages to be so crammed full of bric-a-brac that we felt claustrophobic - particularly in rainy, cold weather when we spent... More
