We had a delightful experience staying at Spyglass Inn! The accommodations were very clean and well maintained. Our favorite part was sitting on the veranda overlooking the ocean! It was magnificent! The bed was very comfortable and everything was so clean! The jacuzzi was a plus! We loved meeting Richard - he was so nice and really cared about his beautiful Inn. We wish we could have stayed longer, but we hope to return!

Beautiful, quiet, clean place. Loved the scenery, sea creatures and deer. Awesome owner! Thank you. Our room was very clean. The location is just a short walk to little black sand beach. Would definitely stay here again.

I was looking for a quiet few days, and the Spyglass fit my needs perfectly. Richard was friendly and helpful, and the inn was conveniently located and well-furnished. Since the Inn is small, it has a nice, quiet feel, and the property is newer than many of the nearby hotels. Strongly recommended for a tranquil getaway in this beautiful part of the coast.

Where do I start? First of all, I called Richard, owner, to book it for Valentines weekend. However, life happens and I had to change plans twice. I called Richard and he was very accommodating working with me the whole time. Finally, we stayed 2 nights in one of the lower suites. It was fantastic. Richard continued with his hospitality and made our stay wonderful. We ate at local restaurants, Mi Mochima, was the best, and brought sandwich meats and breakfast to make in the suites kitchen. The view from the room is awesome and saw deer outside the room every morning. Nearby we took a short hike and visited the black sand beach. Definitely going to stay again. Thanks Richard!!!

If you love nature and want to stay in a modern accommodation at the same time, the Spyglass inn would certainly be the place for you. Spyglass inn is a family owned business and you can enjoy breath taking views directly from the living room or while sitting in the jacuzzi. The place offers whatever you would need to spend a relaxing time in one of the most spectacular places at the pacific west coast.

Perfect!!! Divinely Perfect, perfectly divine.... The view is out of this world. So are the people of Shelter Cove including the owners. Just dream, meet with the deer, and communicate with the baby foxes. Other worldly!

Richard his wife have created a home away from home with an unforgettably peaceful vibe. We had the privilege to endulce in their majestic home with epic views 24-7! Can’t wait to go back! The jacuzzi with a panoramic ocean view is like no other. I can’t imagine what else would make this location better. As avid hikers we loved the easy access to forest too! Thanks, Richard!

My girlfriend and I decided to visit the giant redwoods and the lost coast. After a little online searching we found Spyglass Inn. The reviews were correct this place is beautiful. I spoke to Richard on the phone and we set up a reservation. What a good guy Richard is! Super friendly and very attentive to detail . Great room, magical views and deer walking by your porch. Richard Thank you for a great week end. We WILL see you again! Sincerely Jim & Rachel

I cannot imagine that there is a better place to stay in Shelter Cove. The Spyglass Inn was recently built and is a beautiful inn on a bluff overlooking the crashing waves. You can hear them all night and it's amazing. The room is very comfortable with a full kitchen and in our case a jetted tub looking out over the ocean. You can walk right down to a local restaurant and also walk to the black sand beaches. The innkeeper could not be friendlier or more helpful. He was wonderful. I would highly recommend!
