I planned this for our 10th anniversary gift to my wife along with s stay overnight we had never done a spa trip before. And this hotel spa was recommended via a friend. From the moment of arrival we were welcomed to the hotel the staff were all very polite, knowledgeable. I can't say enough words to praise the staff for our stay the waiters and food just made you feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble with any issues or general advice about the facilities and spa. The facilities /spa are maintained to a high level everything was very clean and so nice to use. The hotel is very spacious and cleaned to a high standard and had a really nice feel that throughout the facility just made you feel so relaxed. The bedroom was also maintained to a high standard and spacious, and welcoming. Tea and coffee in the room was also very nice. We also had an afternoon tea which was very nice indeed and highly recommended this if your having a trip to this hotel. We have never felt so relaxed and didn't want to go home. Just can't recommend this Hotel Spa enough.…
Having used the hotel on many occasions, to accommodate and entertain visiting overseas colleagues and clients, I was very disappointed at the standard of service and the quality of food when we gathered for dinner to celebrate my granddaughter's birthday. Apart from the poor service, the food was substandard, for example, the so-called 'reflection fries' at £4.00 a portion were no more than frozen french fries that one would expect to receive at the local McDonalds. the steaks lacked simple dressing, etc - I can only assume Jonny Standford had a day off. Regretfully I would not recommend this restaurant, there are far better local alternatives.
Me and my friend visited the spa for her bday treat and it wasn’t what I expected. The changing rooms were awful, half of the lockers don’t work, hardly any creams, ear buds or complimentary items you usually get from Hotels. The spa pools were amazing but the steam room was not powerful enough, and the massage was rubbish. The lady who massaged me, had no idea of pressure points and did my massage with Luke warm oil (which should have been warm oil), and massaged me with her elbow in which caused me more agony. I had to tell her to stop and don’t put too much pressure. I felt like crying as this is the worst massage ever. Also we had afternoon tea , which we made sure we got there for 3pm , and it we was waiting for an hour for everything to come out. It was horrible and not time keeping. I don’t recommend this spa for massages at all,…
We stayed at Alexandra House and SPA for one night and stayed in room 10 in the new building. It was absolutely lovely what can I say… the bathroom was amazing and the bed was so comfy I just wish I could have stayed longer! The grounds are also stunning and well looked after. I booked myself a Reflexology treatment in the Spa which was VERY disappointing indeed. I’ve had Reflexology many times before and this was not it, it was more of a very light foot massage that my husband could have done for nothing. I cannot believe I paid £130 for this, it is the most expensive ‘foot massage’ I have ever had in my life in hindsight I wouldn’t have even paid half that amount!
This was an overdue return visit as we were last here back in 2015. We had a huge modern and luxurious room (Garden Deluxe Suite) that although it is not cheap, it is worth pushing the boat out for. A massive comfortable bed, great bathroom with his and hers sinks, with both a large bath and separate shower. As we were on the ground floor we had a nice outside space with table and chairs as well. Both check in and out were quick and easy. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. We made use of the bar and outside seating area in the evening. Breakfast is also very tasty and I can highly recommend the cooked vegetarian breakfast. One bonus for EV owners is that they have (i think) four bays for destination charging.. However don't count on using these as they were constantly in use during our stay.…
This is a nice hotel, in close proximity to a number of gardens which are lovely to visit, we especially recommend Leonardslee lakes and gardens. The service was very good, we visited with our 1 year old son and the staff were very helpful (both at breakfast and at the spa)! In terms of value for money, we found the hotel to be overpriced in terms of the rooms and decor.
Wow, I can not express how much we enjoyed our stay at the Alexandra utopia spa.. The staff are amazing very attentive. I would like to give special thanks Charles at reception. He dealt with an issue that we had, he was very quick to sort this for us and very understanding. They couldn’t of done enough for us, the staff and facilities are just superb. We cannot wait to return. You guys are amazing!! Also I would highly recommend the massage so relaxing! Thank you all so much for making our stay even more memorable.
Myself and my sister stayed overnight for a spa break, we had the best time, the grounds are beautiful the whole atmosphere is so relaxing, we had dinner in the reflections restaurant the staff couldn’t do more for us, very attentive, brilliant breakfast, the outside facilities were stunning! Lunch in the champagne bar was spot on. We will be back. Thank you.
Excellent hotel with great suite. Nice afternoon tea with Nyetimber tasting. Great spa facilities. Good breakfast. Friendly service. The trippel A restaurant were closed when we visited and we had dinner in the Reflections restaurant were food were excellent and service good, but the wine list surprisingly below standard for a 5 star hotel. Have seen better wine list at the countryside pubs I have visited this week.
Just returned from a Spa break with my wife and I thoroughly recommend Alexander House. We had the Henley suite - when we arrived the aircon wasn't working but the service from Kirim the Concierge was absolutely superb, he really looked after us while we were there. Also special mention for Oliver in the restaurant who was very attentive, charming and made us feel really welcome and to Emily the mixologist in the Champagne bar who makes a mean Manhattan ! Chilled, stylish and chic AH was everything we'd expected and more. The Spa facilities were extremely good and the treatments (fully body massage, facial and reflexology) were about the best I think we have ever had.
