Friendly staff and very comfortably furnished rooms. We ate in the downstairs bar, the food and beer was excellent . I would have awarded 5* if it were not for the shower over the bath which was difficult to adjust and erratically kept on going cold.

Revisited the venue my mother and step father got married to celebrate her birthday, complete let down. We weren't told what they didn't have from the menu from the beginning so two meals had to be changed, and part of one meal was missing with no mention of why. 8 out of 10 meals were unenjoyable, the roast dinners that...

An excellent overnight stay - booked at the last moment for New Years Eve. Very friendly and efficient staff - the manager is brilliant and on top of every department. The food was great and the breakfast outstanding. Incredibly good value, we will be back and recommend the Saracens Head to friends.

The food was very poor, some of the dishes were still frozen in the middle, had to be sent back, then the same dish was reheated and bought back to us. The Ale pie was also cold in the middle. Staff didn't seem bothered about the food not being cold, no apologies. Poor customer service, had to find a member...

Nice room, but we had to open windows immediately on arrival as it had been heavily Fabrezed. It still smelled strongly the next day when we left. Not nice. Evening meal was poor. I had the Indian banquet. I left most of it, you buy this as a microwave meal in Tesco if you like that kind of thing (I...

We stayed 1night 19th Nov and got a reasonable nights sleep, creaky floorboards every time somebody walked along the corridor but breakfast...well! The restaurant was not busy, about 12 people, but after waiting 10 minutes to place our order and then a further 30 minutes for the wrong breakfast to arrive! I ordered more toast which didn't arrive. During this...
