Been drinking in here for years, don't go out as much as when I was younger. It's definitely the best place to watch sport in Towcester, especially football, rugby, F1 and horse racing. There's always a exellent atmosphere when England are playing sport, everybody forgets there club rivalries and unites as 1. There's a good banter flying around when the... More

Thanks Nicola for making our evening welcoming, fun and entertaining. The pub is relaxed with a buzz about it just what we were looking for there is a number of sports screens and a fantastic outside space with patio heater( heaters work amazing) unlike most places I've been. The loos were clean which is a must for me. If you... More

The local's go here for a good reason, the real ale is 1st class, there's a range of lagers, the spirits offered are a plenty and well priced all round. The landlord and his staff are well versed in looking after the new customers as well as the not so new. The atmosphere was great, the food offered was proper... More

Went to the Peacock to watch England's second game, the atmosphere was superb, the landlord created a build up that was second to none and was cheerful all night ! (Grumpydude) half time saw free burger or hotdog and chips, and in a packed pub you didn't wait to get served because of the excellent systems for serving in place... More

Having moved recently to the area, I was on the search for a new watering hole. While not exactly the most cheery of publicans, the landlord remembered what I was drinking after just one visit. The beer's good, the prices are cheep and the staff are well versed in bar work. There's a reason this place has so many regulars,... More

A proper pub, good beer, loads of regular customers, plenty of chat and banter, all sports shown (currently the only pub in town with Sky). I've seen the Landlord smile once so he's not that bad! All you could want from a local's boozer.
