Doors in the hallway being opened and closed throughout the night, with no soundproofing it was like someone was in the room opening doors, leading to frustration and no sleep. When you've had a long day travelling and meetings the next day this is not acceptable. The room was in need of renovation, the bathroom was cleaned but black mould was in the sealant in the corners of the shower. The general mustiness of the room made it feel unhygienic. I complained to the night staff about the noise, they apologised and said there was no rooms available to move me to but would honour a refund in the morning for the remaining days i was booked in for. Upon checkout they had done as promised and advised the next shift of my complaint and quickly arranged the refund with no fuss.
Now a Days Inn. we had a good size room which was clean, with comfortable beds. free WiFi available in the room. free parking. fair price. no complaints. a continental breakfast was available, but we chose to use the service area next door.
We had a two noight stay and although the staff that we met were very helpfull, polite and available, the standard of service that we had was poor. The first night we had to request extra towels, only one set was made available although there was two people sharing the room, as booked. The room was cold and although requested to have the heating improved, this could not be achieved. we were offered an alternative room, at 11.30pm,, but this was too late to change. The second night the heating had been turned off during the day by the housekeeper, hence the room was very cold on our return to the room in the evening, even though we had left the heating on our depature that morning to maintain a heated room to come back to. The reception staff and the deputy manager of the night, were very helpfull towards the end of our verbual complaint, but I feel that although it is a cheep place to stay, the standard of facilities basic as heating, was not to the required standard you would expect from an accomodation service. I will not be using this company again for my over night accomodation, as I will also not be reccomending this hotel service to friend and colleagues. Very disapointed.…
We arrived around 11.20 and got a room at a very reasonable price of £40, the girl on reception was very polite and the room was clean and tidy, of course you get the usual tea and coffee making facilities. Location is also very good being well outside the town but close to the motorway and the historic market towns of Baldock and Shefford where many old traditional drinking inns can be found. Close by you have the first garden city, Letchworth. If your looking for somewhere to rest for a night or two thats fairly priced, clean and value for money then this is for you.
Arrive 2am and got a room and travel cot no problem. Very Clean and spacious room...yes is a bit odd with basin outside bathroom but not a problem. Good place to stay for a stop over etc rather than destination place. Would stay again
