What a gem of a place - a peaceful and tranquil setting in the depths of the Norfolk countryside - (just be careful as the road is very narrow). The service was second to none - friendly , timely and professional. The owner Tim found time to come and chat to us in the most stunning walled garden after we... More

This hidden gem of a place is just perfect for a relaxing peaceful break in Norfolk. breakfast at the Saracens Head really does set you up for the rest of the day - and you will be spoilt for choice with an excellent lunch and dinner menu selection. One of my favourite places to stay and unwind in Norfolk.

We stayed here to be near Aylsham with our dog. Just the sort of place where mutts can feel at home. Bed was OK; bathroom worked; room wasn't large, but good enough for a weekend. We arrived in time for a light lunch which was delicious (and I've had less generous portions!). The dinner menu looked delicious but we had... More

The Saracens Head has become the place where we go for family gatherings when in this neck of the woods as it caters so well for all our various dietary requirements. If you tell them what you can and can't have they just work it out as they cook everything themselves and to order. The lovely chap who always seems... More

Went for Father's Day lunch, it was nice and warm so sat outside in the lovely garden. Really enjoyed everything about this place, very friendly efficient service, the food was excellent and fairly priced. Won't be long before we visit again.

This was another enjoyable meal with excellent food and service. This time we had the local Aysham Sausages which was a special for the day, followed by the best and most enormous Strawberrydessert (really to much to eat, but couldn't leave any it was too delicious,

Went for lunch for the first time today at the Saracens Head and sadly it will be our last. Firstly the.choice of lagers and beers was.very limited. We ordered the lunchtime menu lamb mousakka. It was like no mousakka I hAve.ever.tasted. I make much better at home and frankly although I consider myself.an average.cook I could have done 100 per.cent... More

Once you have found the pub, you will be well rewarded for your efforts. Nice bar, well priced drinks, although a group of us 16 in total were getting in the way of the serving staff as its not a big pub. Good menu selection and wine list. I choose a starter with grapefruit and Cromer crab, a complete fail... More

We had been badly let down here a couple of years or so ago. So I was delighted to go here and have a well presented meal accompanied by good service. Sunday roasts were ordered with a variety of desserts, all good. Not inexpensive however, need to watch value

We really liked our three day stay here. We were looked after superbly and the room and the food were excellent. In the back of beyond but that is what we like. The owners were charming and helpful and present.
