Lovely welcome. Place very clean and warm. Tea / coffee tray ready and waiting with plenty of variety. Four poster bed. Quirky furniture. Free WiFi. Very easy to find. No facilities in the village (shop or pub). Though for Geocaching enthusiasts there is a site close to the B&B.

We had a night here followed by two nights in the self catering Honeysuckle Cottage. The farmhouse is absolutely beautiful. Cram packed with blue and white plates, silver and flowers. The living room is like something from Homes and Gardens. We had a lovely blue bedroom with a beautiful four poster. Breakfast was beautifully set out in an opulent ding... More

Really excellent cottage, The Red Lion is in the best location for the Peak District. Ashbourne just a few miles down the road and half an hour from Bakewell so handy for everywhere. Carsington water is also 3 mins by car and a great place to visit with kids, bikes to hire, canoeing, nice walks, play area etc. The cottage... More

Mike and Linda Adams can be justifiably proud of their 5 star guest house. The rooms are tastefully furnished and feature Linda's floral paintings. Our room was en suite with shower and a four poster - very very comfortable. Breakfast is served in a delightful dining room which overlooks a spacious lawn and a typical Derbyshire landscape - the breakfast... More

Myself, husband and 4 friends have just spent an amazing weekend at the Red Lion Cottage. The photographs on the Website does not do the cottage justice, it is an amazing place to stay, definitely 5 Star accommodation. The welcome pack we received was lovely, and we walked in on a very cold winters eve to a beautiful warm cottage... More

A little bit of luxury to end our visit to the Peak District. We picked this property as needed to accommodate space/parking for new trailer, which stayed happily in yard - thank you. Stayed 2 nights in room with a little four poster. Large en-suite shower room. Wherever you look there is something of interest to see - all beautifully... More

I can endorse the comments from recent visitors. This is an excellent farm B&B. Our bedroom was large and light; the bathroom was larger than any room in my own (modest) home and had both roll-top bath and walk-in shower. There was far more cupboard and drawer space than any travellers could need, much of it in period furniture. The... More

I was very warmly welcomed by the farmer and his artist wife who run this charming bed and breakfast from their wonderful period farmhouse. As I drew in to the yard, sourrounded by old barns and hens scratching around, I know I was going to like it. The house is decorated beautifully with antiques and Linda's (the owner) paintings. My... We liked this accommodation greatly. It is a long time since we slept in a four post tester bed amongst period furniture. The cooked breakfast of local produce along with a large choice of fruits provided the four of us with a great start to the day. The farmer owners were friendly and most helpful. Unfortunately the misty weather limited... More
