This was a lovely B&B.There are only 3 rooms so it was very peaceful. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast extremely well cooked. The owner was especially welcoming and helpful and lots of information was provided to help with walk planning.Highly recommended.

We staid here two nights for a wedding in the Peak District and we couldn't have been any happier. Linda has been lovely and very welcoming from the first steps we set into the place. The interior is stunningly put together and makes you feel at home and the breakfast was just delicious. We absolutely loved the B&B and Linda... More

The hospitality offered by Linda and Andrew adds greatly to the comfortable room and Excellent breakfasts. We loved this B&B. We stayed for two nights using two rooms. Both rooms were comfortable and well appointed. The breakfasts were fresh and excellent. Linda the host was friendly and helpful and gave good touring and eating suggestions. Tideswell is a lovely village in gorgeous setting. There is nothing not to like at Merman Barn.

What a great place to stay. We wish all B&B's could be this good. Peacefully situated on the outskirts of the village. Huge, comfortable bed in a lovely room. Linda had thought of everything, even fresh milk in a small fridge, which is very rare. The guest lounge is a very comfortable place to sit and read or watch a... More

We stayed at Merman Barn for two nights, during our caving course in peak district. The lady running it, Linda, is very friendly and helpful, she stayed up to greet us despite our arrival time being delayed several times due to traffic. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There's a very nice lounge for the use of the guests, we... More

Thank you very much Pati for your thorough review - we really appreciate you taking the time. I'm sorry, I should have said to drive in from the right of the property where no cars can park. We hope to see you again. More

Every step just exceeded the expectations :-) Helpfulness of the host, great food, lovely room and a lot of materials (folders with walks, leaflets) to help guests find the best places to visit in the area.

We used the Merman Barn B&B as our “basecamp” for a long weekend hiking in the Peak District. An amazing place that exceeded every expectation. From the reception from our host to the rooms and breakfast it was a perfect experience. Do try the homemade Derbyshire oatcake if you stay here. You won’t want to miss it.
