It has been a couple of years since I was last here, and then we ate in the bar rather than the restaurant side, so I thought I should review it again. Harpurs has no dedicated parking, and parking on the streets is limited. However there is a free public carpark across the road and down a few yards which...

Nice bar and restaurant with rooms. The room was very clean but small. It is advertised as being luxury and boutique which I am not sure about but it was a lovely stay. Good bar area with a few ales on. We didn't eat there but it was very popular. A relaxing stay.

I took my 16 year old son to this eatery for a weekend treat and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant is on the 1st floor and has two contrasting areas, with the smaller, cosier, ambiently lit, of the two being far more preferable to the larger, rather characterless space that was empty at the time of our visit. Our...

Walked in, you can barely get to the bar with the amount of crowd, no fault of the pub. However, when finally getting to the bat the staff were very rude, they ignored us for a while and when we finally got served they snatch and chuck the money about and never smile.

Harpurs was the place we decided on to have our meeting... Before I drove home I thought I would have dinner. I'm so glad I did, I've eaten here before and really enjoyed it, I had a roast beef main followed by the crumble.. Both were delicious and service good. The staff on duty were very attentive. I will certainly...

It's now a family tradition on Good Friday after a walk we have a fish and chips lunch at Harpurs. Food and service are very good. With eleven of us including three young children it's hectic but the staff are friendly and make us very welcome.

We met a friend here for Sunday lunch and we were all impressed by the decor and the friendly, attentive staff. There was a warm atmosphere and we enjoyed a long leisurely lunch. Unfortunately the food was just about average which was a shame.

The rooms have fantastical refurbished. The beds are so comfortable and the decor in the rooms so much more relaxed. The restaurant is high quality fresh food. The service by happy professional staff very good. This is a great bespoke hotel.

The menu looked interesting ( although there was no vegetarian option if you didn't want fish curry) Presentation of the food was generally good . However, we had a long wait from receiving our plate and the vegetables arriving ( and no it was not busy) and no apology given. Staff generally attentive rather than friendly. Unfortunately the food was...

Not been here before but were delighted to stumble across such an establishment. We were very lucky to find a table at short notice having not booked and the staff were extremely accommodating. We both had the scallops to start which were cooked to perfection and very reasonably priced. There was a slight wait for the starters but it was well...
