I was given 4 hotels to choose from, I looked at their websites to make my choice. The queens arms looked nice and the food looked amazing so I chose the Queens arms. Arrived today from Northumberland, apparently my business had not booked me in. Ok no issues. They had room for me. £200 later for 2 nights. I came down around 6:30 for dinner to be told they do not do food!! Their website says Sarah’s kitchen! Home made food ( hence why I picked this place) (see pictures). I complained and spoke to the owner, who was absolutely terrible at complaint handling! Apparently it was my fault for 1. Not booking. 2 not asking about food! Even said to me, well you don’t have to stay here! (Nice eh) He only said “ah yes the website needs updating” false advertising at its best! He also said, he had to get extra staff in to cook my breakfast and clean my room! Erm thats what I paid £100 per night for so yes you should!!!!! It’s called hospitality and you have no clue how to do it! The room is ok, but his attitude was disgraceful. I booked in for 2 nights. Tomorrow morning I will be booking out and getting a refund for my second night. I will take my money elsewhere! Please think long and hard before booking this place!

We had booked expecting to be able to eat there, unfortunately the kitchen was being renovated. As we didn't want to find somewhere else to eat the lady behind the bar and the manager were most helpful in finding us a local takeaway which would deliver to the pub. The manager set up a table for us and put plates to warm! the Chinese meal was very good. The accommodation was excellent. We had a lovely breakfast with plenty of choice. I would definitely recommend

That was a nigtmare! What kind of hotel keeps main doors locked?! We have came all the way with taxi paying that much money and had to go back and find another hotel who works as a hotel! A guy answered the phone with an interesting accent and told that they cant help, is that a scam or what?! Worst hotel experience of my life! Had to pay taxi all the way back with lots of luggage with us!

Visited yesterday for food. Awful. Both ordered Ham, Egg, Chips. My partner asked for her meal without peas, the waitress who was inept to say the least, wrote this request down but yet the meal still arrived with peas on the plate. No apology just, "oh yes, you said no peas". The peas were tinned, egg was way under cooked and for £13.00, I've seen bigger portions on a children's meal. Will NEVER be visiting again.

A central location for Peak District walks. Really clean family room with two twin beds instead of a pull out made a difference having two teen boys. Lovely staff who were helpful and friendly and great breakfast all for a great price. Don’t be put off by room above a pub as really quite and couldn’t hear the traffic outside either. Will stay again in the summer for sure.

Stayed here for the weekend with my partner. It's a hidden gem. Old glossop has some absolutely stunning walks. We walked up to the reservoir and walked passed emus and peacocks! The hotel itself is a lovely old building. The room was clean and spacious. Very comfortable bed. The food was delicious. Ellie the waitress was lovely.Really tasty food and decent size portions. Good value for money. The chef was a lovely friendly guy who couldnt do enough for us. It was really nice to meet him.. He even suggested a walk which we went on and it was lovely. Breakfast was delicious. Good size and kept us going til past lunchtime. On our last night we stayed downstairs at the pub for drinks and had a great time. There was an amazing live band and met some great people. Great atmosphere!! Wish we could've stayed longer!! The only negative point we would have is there is no fridge in the room which was a bit of a pain.

We loved our stay at the Queen’s Arms especially great as it is dog friendly. Located a few steps away from Manor park and a 10 minute walk to the town centre. Hand sanitiser available at the door and mask wearing policy made us feel safe. Breakfast lovely with large portions and a special mention to the breakfast waitress Aliya who was attentive and helpful and was adored by our Dog after giving him a handful of Doggie treats. Would recommend to anyone planning a visit to the area.

We were a party of eight guys, who all like a drink and a laugh that decided to meet up in Glossop as it was central for all of us. We couldn't speak more highly of this place. The rooms were big and spacious ( we had two family rooms and a twin). The breakfast was cooked fresh and it was a big portion that set us up for the day. Any cooked meals we had in the evenings were also very good. The staff were an absolute credit to the place and looked after us superbly and joined in with the high spirited banter. We would also like to say that the Indian restaurant on the second floor was very good and the staff were great fun as well. We highly recommend this place and look forward to returning again. I think they'll remember us!! Many thanks from. TC and the betting banter gang.

Great selection of ales, tasty meals, clean spacious rooms & attentive staff...glad we stayed here. Some family friendly walks nearby too. Used this as a bit of a base to explore more of the Peaks. Easy roads to Buxton & Bakewell 👍
