This is a pub / restaurant / hotel in the lovely village of Castleton. We visited here one lunchtime. The pub is well situated in the middle of the village, and once inside is comfortable and well decorated. The beers were good but we didn't feel inspired to stay for lunch - nothing I can pinpoint but it lacks a...

This is the first time we have visited this lovely pub and it won't be the last. We enjoyed the food very much and it was very reasonable. The staff were very pleasant and the pub was spotlessly clean. It was lovely to sit by an open fire on a very chilly day. Recommended.

We stopped off here after a day out and it looked really nice. Unfortunately when we went in we were spoken to abruptly and told we were standing in the wrong place and should be at the bar. We obediently moved to the bar only to be told we should be standing at the restaurant entrance (where we'd previously been)....

Stayed here for two nights re-living a visit to Castleton 30 odd years ago. The town hasn't changed and is stunning. This accommodation is very tastefully decorated, great views, great hot drink making options, fabulous shower, comfortable bed and great breakfast menu (you won't go hungry!). The meal that we had for dinner one evening (open fish pie) was also...

I stopped off here when I took my Aussie friend on a drive through the area and we had the most delicious lunch. It was so good, I went back on the Sunday with my family for their roast dinner and it did not disappoint. Delicious food, friendly service and great beer. Highly recommend.

Visited Castleton recently with friends and stopped off at the Bull's Head for some lunch. All pubs in Castleton are dog friendly except the Bull's Head who ask that you sit in the barn if you have a dog. This we did. Unfortunately if it's raining they do not serve food to anyone in the barn as we found out...

After biking to the head of nearby Howden Reservoir we met up with family from Manchester for Sunday lunch.. We had read the rave reports of the Bull's Head and were not disappointed. This is a very busy establishment in the heart of Castleton. We had three Sunday roasts and pork belly. All reasonably priced and of a very good...

Stopped in here after visiting the caves with my girlfriend. We both had a roast, which came with plenty of meat, a selection of buttered veg, and some lovely roast potatoes. The meal was really good, as were the waitresses. No complaints at all. WIFI: bestpubincastleton
