We booked the whole hotel for the night following our wedding in Ashbourne. David, the owner, and his son Christian were the perfect hosts and spoilt me and our guests. The rooms are lovely and roomy and luxurious. The bar and seating area are really comfortable and relaxing. David is really easy going and does what he can to support... More

I've been at the station hotel for a sunday lunch during my stay in england. It was a great experience because the place is very old fashioned and well kept. I was able to taste traditional english dishes and have the tipical british tea in the tea room that was very nice. Prices are a bit high, but it's definetly... More

Well situated in Ashbourne and handy for trips to Ilam Hall, Dovedale etc. Friendly host and nice rooms with interesting furnishings and four poster beds. Excellent breakfast. Not many restaurants in Ashbourne but our host gave some good recommendations of where to eat.

We had a wonderful stay at The Station Hotel which is full of character and charm. An old hotel with high ceilings and much history. The four poster bed was a luxury. David the host was extremely helpful, kind and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The Railway Hotel dates from 1901 and is typical of the genre of grand railway hotels. It has reasonable parking and is only a five minute stroll from the town centre, which is very pleasant and features a good selection of independent shops as well as several pubs and restaurants. The hotel has a very roomy feel to it and... More

Nice clean and spacious room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed because of the close proximity to the Tissington trail which is just across the road. It would have been nice to have had the evening meal option at the hotel as Ashbourne on a night is not very active and we had to go into the... More

Old hotel, close to the town to walk in. Off street parking. Friendly check in, we were on the top floor, stairs are a bit steep if you have walking issues and no lift/ elevator. Our room was a twin and not as nicely decorated as the doubles ( we could see into other rooms that weren't occupied) that had... More

I booked the hotel as a birthday treat for my partner. We stayed on the Friday night. Owner was very welcoming and friendly and the 4 poster bed was very comfy. Breakfast was very good and plenty of it. Had a lovely couple of days in the Peak District will definitely return to this beautiful part of the U.K.
