My wife and I travelled from Wakefield on Friday to the above hotel. We were greeted with a very warm welcome by Barry, our room was number 14, and were asked if we need any help with our luggage as there was no obvious sign of a lift. We booked our evening meal as there were a Wedding reception that... More

The Hunday manor house is a charming hotel tucked away just outside of Workington. We wanted to get as far away from Preston as possible, but still have places such as Windermere and Keswick within an hour drive. Overall for two nights at the Hunday we paid £178 which we thought was a good price by just looking at the... More

We have just returned from a long weekend at this hotel, everything about it is top grade well decorated and comfortable with a terrific menu and simply excellent food of high quality. The staff are all excellent and friendly and you will find the owner working at his hotel. I would recommend Hunday all day long.

My friend recently had her wedding reception here so as its a bit out of the way I stayed over. Very pleasant stay, staff were lovely! Rooms were a nice size and comfortable beds. Rooms were very very hot and no option to have any cool air though. Rooms were clean and well decorated. Breakfast was lovely. No problems there!... More

We had room 8 as this is the nearest to the stairs and I am slightly disabled but it is not oo big and overlooks the front of the hotel and if there is a wedding can be noisy. Service is excellent with the waiters being really nice and efficient. We had dinner from the bar menu and the food... More

We stayed 25/26 July, our third visit via Travelzoo. Hunday Manor is a great hotel in a pleasant location, with distant views of the Solway Firth. The staff are all friendly, cheerful and efficient, may of them young, but they all make you feel so welcome. We always have dinner at the hotel, as there is a good choice at... More

We stayed at Hunday Manor as a base on our visit to the Lake District. It's in a great location, easy access to all of the roads and the Sat-Nav found it easily. Our room was great, comfy bed and nice en-suite! Everything about the hotel was clean. We ate at the restaurant at the hotel on evening which was... More
