Staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. Food itself was amazing – fresh, quality ingredients, very well presented, exquisitely cooked and large portions. Salmon and steak are both recommended. The restaurant itself is not what I expected – reminds me of a well equipped caravan instead of a restaurant, but I can forgive it that for the mouthwatering dining experience. Judge... More

We were booked into the Hunday Manor Hotel for the weekend to attend a friends family party. We didn't expect it to be so good with it being in the "middle of nowhere", but we were more than pleased when we booked in and saw the room, then went down to the bar for an early drink (or two) The... Very friendly people, had a small accident and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Our room was perfect , and the food excellent. We will certainly be back for a longer stay next time. One night wasn't enough. I do wish they would get a lift of some kind to the rooms though.

Warm welcome. Extremely pleasant bar and lounge surroundings while selecting from menu and enjoying pre drinks. Lovely dining room over looking garden, tables not too close together- spacious! Food to high standard using fresh local ingredients. Typical Cumbrian portions: hearty however of great quality. If I was looking for a perfect wedding venue I would put this high on my... More

This would of been 5 stars, but unfortunately I requested a room with a nice view and got one looking out to a wall, but all the staff were very helpful and even offered to change rooms but advised us it was above the function room and would get noisy. Food was brilliant definitely would go again.

I was at a family wedding and stayed over. The meal was excellent. Wedding decorations lovely. Couldn't fault anything. Stayed in the hotel over night. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. Very good breakfast, lovely staff. The exterior of the hotel and the grounds are very beautiful. I would recommend for a wedding reception, family meal or just... More

This was a delightful place to come to on a gloomy afternoon after long day. There was a warm welcome, a very comfortable room, a pleasant view (through the mist) and an excellent choice of food, very well cooked, presented and served, in the restaurant.

A first visit to this establishment with my wife and two friends. We visited on a wet and windy night and were surprised to see so many cars on the car park. We were welcomed by the reception staff and having confirmed our reservation for dinner we were given every attention by way of handing out menus and offered drinks... More
